Well I never! I don't think I would have noticed that at all if I'd been there. You are indeed a woman of many talents!

Of course but my wedding isn't for another couple of years yet.
And the main problem with light colored clothing: it can get dirty, very easily. And black hides the stains. XD

I have an idea for a dress. I want the skirt to be a silvery white satin (if such a color exists) with a full skirt with a layer of tulle over it or perhaps another mesh fabric. I want a bodice that zips up the back. It's going to be all one dress though. It would be easier to take off that way. And I haven't decided if I want it to be strapless.
And for the bridesmaid, I think a light blue or purple would be nice. I think I'll be having about two or three bridesmaids. I haven't quite figured that out yet.

::sighs:: Why can't my friend that is getting married be into the goth lifestyle, I am getting stuck in a yellow bridemaid's dress later this year.
Anyway, back to the white clothing thing. Back in the day when I used to dye my hair black, I used to go out in all white occassionally. It made it easy for my friends to spot me across the bar.

I think all white can be striking at right moments. For example, I went to this party and I wore this. The guy licking me up is my fiance, and he was being spooky all around. Naturally, I stood out. I agree with others about looking good in white. If you look better with black, stick to it, there's nothing wrong with black. I'm lucky enough to look good in both black and white.

The dress sounds beautiful.

Not sure. I want it to be a type of dress they would be comfortable in. Depending on their height, figure, and body weight. That sort of thing.

I was thinking about having different dresses. Just in the same color. But I'm open to suggestions from them when the time comes closer.
And I love your new avvie.

If you want to wear an all-white outfit, just do whatever you want,no matter what others say.however,I don't really like the color white because it doesn't suit me,and I feel insecure when I wear it.Plus,it gets dirty REALLY quickly.

I like a bit of contrast, so I don't think I would like someone with a light skin and light hair wearing all white, but it could be beautiful if you still have something dark, like your hair or your make-up.
But if you like it, you should absolutely try it, it's refreshing to see people who turn the typical goth-look into something new.
White clothing could also be great for people who live in a hot climate, I think it's very unflattering to wear black velvet when you're sweating like the Niagara falls.

You can be an all white goth, I guess, but I'd really do the white clothes, white skin, white hair with some black eyemakeup.
And I don't think the same contrast works for black people. Their skin is brown, not black or dark grey so the same level of contrast doesn't work. White people's "White" skin is generally closer to white than most black people's is to black.
White doesn't work in the same way as black, anyway. For a start, there are going to be shadows that won't be noticable on black.
Goths don't look good just because of the contrast, it's a particular type of contrast.
It's not all relative, some things just plain look tacky. I mean look at ganguros.

Ya. White is good, but hard to keep clean. Gothics often wear other colors than black anyway. Didn't know it was an issue.
Red, white and other are worn often. It is just the standard, but Goths shun the standard, so who cares?

It's white fur...either faux or real...but I think I could picture it, I guess if you could post a pic of the coat itself then that would be easier to take a look at! Your freind looks hot!
Okay, great, I have to see that jacket!

I'm a very light-skinned "black" person (sort of bronze colored...) So would that be black or white clothes for me?
I personally wouldn't wear all white all the time cause that's gonna be one hell of a cleanup, lol! It gets dirty too easily.... :-/

I love wearing all white but I went to this hippy festival last year (the halloween masquerade at Jerry's sunshine daydream in west virginia) by the end of the festival all my clothes were ruined and no ammount of bleach has been able to remove the stains. Also I must confess that if I'm ever feeling particularly bummed black is just such a comforting color. It does have a way of making one feel safe.
