Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

This thread is very humorous, all the wise cracks and wild yet deep opinions, just strikes me as funny don't ask. Anyways back on topic, i had voted for cRAP and as everyone has said about a million times already it's just repetitive and has very little to no meaning at all, maybe back in the day but not in the present. BUT i do agree with whoever said Green Day, the talentless good for nothing poor excuse for a band. I absolutly DESPISE them with every inch of my body and every pint of my blood, even talking about them right now is raising the adreniline level in my veins.
Also im surprised that no one had even mentioned Wicked Wisdom (least thats what i think they are called, can't remember just know they reserve a spot in the top 5 worse bands ever) band that was created by no other then........JADA PINKETT SMITH, that's right you heard me correctly Will Smiths spouse. It's like Alanis Morisette meets Otep, it just doesn't fit.
EDIT: Oh and as for Ashley she should jump off a bridge into a swarm of man eating piranha. Ill tape it too.

Why are we limiting ourselves to just one worst band of all time? It's quite possible (and indeed likely) for many groups to occupy that position.
Furthermore, why are we just limiting ourselves to people who are known to suck? There's much, much worse to be had if you dig around for long enough, finding those little nuggets of awfulness that await the incautious searcher like a nugget of sheep shit in a McDonald's chocolate shake.
Let's think about this, now. There are so many categories by which these groups could be judged.
1) Attention whoring / whining / acting like a twat.
2) Overexposure.
3) How derivative they are of other lowest-common-denominator groups.
4) Family connections -- how many sing or play just because they have a relative who does the same?
5) Reality TV origins
6) Lack of talent
There are of course plenty of other categories. Just don't plump for the obvious choices, that's all I'm saying...

Hey, I used to like them, when I was about twelve or something. I just don't listen to their music anymore. And, Gwen Stefani's hot.

rap- as in the genre? or is there a crap band called rap i havent heared of?
i acctully enjoy some rap music such as Grand Master Flash and the Furious 5, theyre fuck ace. And there's a time and a place for Cypress Hill..
the crap aspect of rap is all that gangsta smak mi' bitch up SHITE, that is designed for puny men to make themselves feel that little bit bigger. That does annoy me.grrr.

Thanks WolfMoon!
Yes there is something about that man I just can't stand. I heard that once his catsuit ripped while he was doing the splits....I feel so sorry for the people who had to bear witness to it. & men looking like un-sheared sheep apes should NEVER EVER be allowed to purchase catsuits.

SheepApe?
Does that mean that he`s the result of a cruel genetic experiment or a new species entirely yet to be discovered by cryptozooligist`s .

I have to say the worst music I ever heard was Julie Brown. She drove me crazy insane, insane crazy. Her rattle of The Homecoming Queen's Got a Gun... my senses went numb.

Generally I would put it down to a genre of music to be bad. Not because it is crap in itself but because of what the artists have turned it into. For example, R&B now consists of some rapping chav with more bling than his neck can cope with and some bimbo dancing behind him in a golden bikini. Proper words are no longer used either.
R&B used to be a form of Jazz, the oldies here will remember it, the good old swinging tunes. It was basically halfway between your normal up-beat Jazz and your Blues (that's how it seemed to me anyway) but now it's just been twisted beyond all recognition.

CRUEL INTENTIONS: You've got a good point about modern-day Soul/R&B. The line between Soul & Rap have become completely blurred, to the point to where no one could tell 1 genre of music from the other. It sounds & [in the case of B.E.T./MTV/VH1 music videos] looks the fucking same now. On any given day, give me oldschool Soul [Marvin Gaye, Temptations, Al Green, Bobby Womack] & Neo-Soul [Angie Stone, 1996-2002 Erykah Badu, Musiq, Aaliyah's slower songs] instead of what passes for R&B these days [Usher].

THANATOS: Nickleback. The perfect textbook example of a band who've done the Sub Pop/Seattle Sound/Grunge thing several years too late. That shit was horrible the 1st time around [1991-1994].
