Not really. All you do is stick blamange stuff into a rubber glove, tie it up & leave to turn solid. When it's done you cut it open & stick the summerfruits at the top of the stump to look a little gory. Then you add strawberry sauce. Marzipan fingers & eyeballs sound good.

I don't know that there's anything food-wise that could be described as goth, but if you want to get fancy you might try checking out a book from the library or buying from half price books, or even hitting amazon.com for medieval recipes. I have a book called Fabulous Feasts by Madeline Pelner Cosman, and it has some pretty good stuff to choose from. There's a recipe for brie cheese pie in there, but you can probably substitute tofu and bananas for the cheese and the eggs.

I don’t like additives. Chocolate, whipped cream, teh strawberry delight, eh? What’s wrong with the all natural approach? As for habits? Sticking to one routine can get a bit monotonous for her, but we’re also talking about the delicates so one can’t get too freaky with them or they’ll tare, and what good is that? Penetration with…wait a second.

Goddamnit, I thought this thread was about eating.

Le’meh, Drano and Glass chunks, there you go. That’s goth.

Ummm, Xnguela?

There shouldn't be *more* blood when on your period. I mean...ah...err...ummm.

*Puts on white coat*

You'll feel a little pressure, and something cool and wet, and don't worry about that noise. 'Tis nothing.

Why hasn't anyone suggested a few small unsuspecting grilled children?

Wait.. no meat ah?

Okay a few small unsuspecting grilled vegetarian children? That's goth right?

So really, red food dye is your friend. Black pasta doesn't taste like octopus, I suggest giving it a try... perhaps a little drizzled "red" parmesan peppercorn Alfredo with mixed veggies or rich roasted garlic butter portabella mushrooms. Try a broken loaf of French artisan bread with a side of Extra Virgin Olive Oil also sprinkled with parmesan for dipping... umm a small but gorgeous spring mix salad with fresh red radicchio drizzled in a dripping red straberry vinaigrette and topped off with a few blueberries and raspberries. Last, for dessert (assuming your over 21) a glass of smooth sparkling spamonte' touched with a splash of orange juice served cocktail style garnished with de-seeded slices of blood orange and a few of the left over blueberry's.

Yes/no??

I've never had home-cooked bean curd that tasted any good, but if you go to a decent Chinese / Thai / etc restaurant you should be able to get some cooked well.

Did you know that a wild goth eats tobacco, while a zoo goth eats absinthe jelly?

I think we would all agree that the majority of goths, if not anything, they are at least DECADENT! So if you want to have a "gothic" meal, you're going to want to have rich foods. Italian food would do perfectly. Since you're both vegi-ma-tarians, it does make it a bit difficult, but here goes my meal plan for you.

First, scrap all the kooky, corny gothic things. A coffin shape cake does not a goth make.

For your setting, you'll want candle lighting. A large candelabra in the center, or two smaller candle holders to each side. The candles should be either a natural dyed red, or an almost white. Don't be afraid of white candles. They set the mood nicely and they look old fashioned.

For the table, get a full size red table cloth. Assuming the table is round, get a smaller, square peice of black lace or tulle, or something see-through and drap it over the red table cloth at an angle. The corners of the smaller cloth should be pointing to each seat, assuming there are just the four main points. Get me?

You should use, if you have it, black service plates for all your dishes. Wine gobblets for both the water and the wine, and an actual bread basket made out of weaved wood. Place black and red napkins in it for the bread to sit on and to cover the bread with.

Garlic bread sticks, like they have at Olive Garden, would be fine for the bread.

Red wine works with all the food listed.

Here's the food, and remember, we're going with Italian, since it's one of the richest foods:

Appetizers(Antipasto): Choose 1 - 2
Grilled Portebello Mushrooms
Italian Stuffed Mushrooms
Oyster Bruschetta
Eggplant Parmigiano-Reggiano With Tomato and Caper Sauce
Focaccia Topped With Tomato & Mushrooms

Main Course: Choose One
Ravioli Picante With Arugula
Pasta With Four Cheeses
Ricotta And Spinach Cannelloni
Ricotta Crespelle
Papparadelle With Mushroom Marsala Sauce

Sides: Choose 2 - 3
Asparagus Parmesan
Marinated Artichokes
Eggplant Croquettes
Pearl Onions In Balsamic Marinade
Potatoes With Tomatoes And Basil
Marinated Zucchini

Dessert: Choose One (If You're Not Already Stuffed)
Stuffed Baked Pears
Chocolate Dipped Figs
Baked Fruit With Crispy Topping
Creme Brulee
Panna Cotta

You two should be stuffed to the gills. Buon Appetito!

I do believe I have to agree with GeishaGirl on this meal plan.

I was going to suggest some vegan sushi rolls and a fine riesling to boot. But the Italian is an excellent meal as well. Eggplant is very versatile as well as mushrooms.
