The New Joy Division

I don't know what to say other than I have a new favorite band of the moment....

WhiteStar - Pillar Of Society

WhiteStar's debut Fiberlineaudio release shines with raw undertones of Joy Division and The Cure while creating music that is uniquely their own. Haunting vocals and melodies, dynamic drumming, thudding bass lines and soaring keyboards create a classic New Wave vibe.

I love all this new stuff from The Killers, My Chemical Romance, Stellarstar, The Bravery and now our very own WhiteStar!

It's rude to come to a board and start spamming it. I'll make sure not to listen to the bands you are hyping.

By the way My Chemical Romance blows.

Am I the only person in the world who doesn't buy onto "The Killers" train? It isn't the second coming of 80's indie, it is utter wank and I'm rather sure if I mistakenly misplaced all my sense and reason and actually put a CD into the player, it would leap off the shelf, beat me severely about the head with the case and insert the broken pointed shards of plastic into my arse.

Technology can be brutal at times.

the bravery sucks. hard. just an fyi. they opened for depeche mode on most of dm's us dates this tour. i tried watching them, couldn't stand how unoriginal the frontman was while trying to look and act like smith, only with horribly bad vocals. i left and came back when they were done, as did most of the crowd. what the hell dm were thinking when they signed them on i have no idea. anyway. chemical romance sucks too. i don't know the others. and probably don't want to.

and why isn't this in shill?

Find yourself afraid to see?..." -NIN

I kind of like the Killers, and I, personally believe My Chemical Romance is the best band by far. Okay, maybe that's a tad over exaggerated, but they are my favorite band. As for originality, it seems almost impossible these days (a lot of people are into the same stuff), so don't hate the followers, and if you do find an original band, feel free to praise the heck out of 'em.

By the by, I'm not trying to defend The Bravery. I do think they suck, but for the right reasons. As for this whole Whitestar crap, I find myself dumbfounded. That is not a compliment. Sounds okay, but it also sounds like a rip-off of something I've heard before. I'm not gonna say they're any good, and I'm not gonna say they're bad. I'll leave it simply as 'no comment'.
