The majority of the people who listen to those bands are really young and for the most part act really immature online. I have been on this board for about the last two weeks now and almost every single obnoxious noob has liked those bands.I'm generalizing, but that is the way it has been on here.
It seems like that you are into nu-metal and metal. Do you listen to any goth bands at all? If a person involves themselves in the subculture it would make sense that they at least listen to some of the music, because that is what started the 'modern' subculture in the first place. I'm not trying to seem rude....I'm just asking.I listen to goth,old school punk,old school rap,classical,etc...... A person can be goth and listen to all sorts of different kinds of music.However, just because you call yourself a goth doesn't mean that all of the bands you listen to are goth.

I can see where you are coming from "horrorgirl." Although, where I live, alot of the Slipknot and Korn fans are quite mature and are really cool. And are out of high school. I like them because...well, I just like them. I do listen to some goth bands, Sisters of Mercy being my favorite so far, but it's not really the kind of music i LOVE. Yes, I am into nu-metal and stuff. But like most people here-I like a variety of music.

I like Slipknot but not Korn. However, I don't care much about anything other than the music. I wouldn't put a Slipknot poster up in my room.

I do not like either of these bands, and I find the both of them to be a huge annoyance. If they either of them come of the radio/television, I just turn them off.
I completely agree with Natasshha that both of these groups have some incredibly, and I quote HATEFUL songs.

As I think I have said. Both blow my crusty crotch. Korn was fine until they made Life is Peachy. After that fuck them, and I never liked slipknot. I know I am shallow.
