Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

KORN and DISTURBED
A lot of my friends have been arguing about the bands Korn and Disturbed....some hate them and others can't get enough of them .....what is your opinion?? If there was a battle between Korn and Disturbed, who would win??

Korn, definitely. I like the nihilism in some of their songs.

When I did listen to them, I only listened to a handful of their songs despite owning 2 Disturbed CDs and 3 KoRn CDs.
I guess I haven't been compelled to listen to them for over the past year or more. I guess Korn would get my vote in the end. I kinda like that Alice in Wonderland aesthetic they've been playing with.

It's pop music to me. No real point in getting offended.

Guess the one who logged on Gothic.net the fastest ^___________________________________^
Oh c'mon. You could at least do some better bands. Geezsh...To shorten it up: Korn wins. Disturbed become the hit pop punk band and sell out. Then they die and join deathrock.com *sigh*
T_T
How about Daniel Ash VS Andrew Eldritch? Who would win? Me, of course.

I haven't heard much by Disturbed. I'd say Korn, certainly.

I never got into Disturbed, so I'll go with Korn, as they used to be one of my favorite bands. (Then "Follow the Leader" came out, and it was blah after that.)

Ahahahaha! Monkeys!

Another overly repeated thread, but with some fantastic come-backs.
For the purpose of this thread, I say Korn, sheerly because they got me wanting to listen to alternative styles of music, and they appeared on South Park. Huge dibs for that... Nothing beats the Scooby-doo like Nu-metal band!

Same here. I'm not big on the "nu-metal" genre at all.

I like the lounge version of that song. I can't remember which "of the dead" remake movie it's in..Dawn? Day? I always get those two mixed up.

Dawn of the Dead!!!! the cover is by Edward Cheese. I have some of his music; it's fantastic for making people want to leave your house.
He also covers "Closer"

His name's Richard Cheese, his band's name is Lounge Against the Machine, they've put out 6 albums, and check him out at his website.

I actually listen to both. I am not a fan of Disturbed's new stuff, mainly their first and best album. I like Korn Too. Brandon saw them at the Family Values Tour last year (lucky bastard, I have never been to a real concert, thanx to mom, except for Live8, where I got to see Def Leopard, which was nice, the rest was Rap, but We where in Philly and Will Smith was there and he puts on a great act)
