I'm on page 50 in writting my story. YAY!!! I don't know if I'm going to publish it or not. I'm leaning towards a no, but I will base that on the critisism of others.

A couple of screenplays. The one i'm working on now is about an exorcism. No, it's not like that. My inspiration comes from movies we've all seen before about exorcisms, like... The Exorcist, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, etc. but only because they're so bad at trying to make something that could be looked at in many different ways, look like one static universal constant. I take a completely new spin on it. I hate the way evil is seen in those movies. "Evil" is not one-sided.

I can't say as I'm writing much of anything lately. I have a number of project on hold though.

I have a short story in which a young man is crossdressing in order to keep his mother happy by pretending to be his own sister at home, since his mother has kind of lost her mind do to grief. As the story begins and progresses though it seems he might not be all that sane himself.

I have a number of fanfics in paused status as well. I also have two ideas for novels both of which have only barely begun but neither of them are really developed enough to even talk about their plots.

-_- So much to do and so little time. Isn't that always the way?

P.S. - I do have a finished Ranma 1/2 fic which is rather fitting for mention on this site as it is a bit of a dark story. It's called "Pains of the Past" and the basic premise is that Ranma & Ryouga 'killed' Akane and five years after the fact they finally go back to pay their respects.

Right now, I'm writting about my RP characters I never used for RPing. So instead, I decided to use them as characters in a story.

Bascially, its about a cyber goth named SiSen ( before I found out about the Japanese DJ ) who loathes everyone. She a major bitch to everyone and rarely hangs out with those who try to get her attention. There is one guy, by the name of Wires, who likes her and SiSen denies this raging feelings for him. One night she decides to go walking in the park when it was storming and happens to see Wires where then lightening strikes and knocks him out cold. She then takes him home and takes care of him for a few months. The story is basically about SiSen and Wires and then getting alone with each other while SiSen decides whever or not to give into to the feelings she feels and such. I've already written one chapter. I have much more to go.

Currently I'm working on a short novel, soft erotic and has some things that have happened in my mom's life, my life and other friend's lives but not one would realize that unless they knew exactly what they were looking for.

I have a lot of already done short stories. I'll soon to be posting them on my myspace site. If anyone is interested in reading them I'll let you know my address in a personal message to you.

Oh no, NaNoWriMo...

I'm just puttering away on my usual urban fantasy and some cyberpunk works that I really, really want to get into. I figure that most people 'round these parts have a thing for both those genres (name of the very website notwithstanding, at least the dark fantasy.)

Something that I'm always on the lookout for is writer communities, something to keep the edge sharp, as it were.

I've been working on a short story for about two years, each time i think i've got it right i notice something else and have to start all over again.
In essence it's about a vampire private dick called Heart Valentine who's hired by a beautiful, yet strange, blond woman to find her missing husband.
It's in the style of the old 50's noir detective films, all black and white and sharp Non-sequesters - hence the title Vampire Noir.
I'm not sure where the idea came from but i'm pretty happy with some of the
characters i've created. For example one of the characters is called Don Lupin Furlini, aka the Dog Father, that's the boss of all the werewolves in the city.

Something else i'm working on is taking even longer to take shape. If and when i can ever get it finished it will be a novel about a new kind of virtual reality: You inject a gel like substance made up of nano-bots into your body and physicaly experince everything online. I'm still working out the plot but i've spent about three years simply creating the world both on and off line.

Nanowrimo....

Yeah...About that.

Well, I am writing a children's novel.

The children's novel is about the power of imagination and courage/or lack of. It's a fairytale...But the evil is not going to be your stereotypical Gothic-esque villian from a Disney movie or from any fairytale in general. The evil witch (who rules a dream world fueled by the dreamer's lack of confidence and courage) is a beautiful woman. A pretty "normal" looking gal.

My main project is writing short stories about a group of vampires that I've created. It's just their lives, really; sometimes exciting, sometimes romantic, sometimes tragic, sometimes just stupid and hilarious. It's not often that my sort stories have an actual, real, good plot; more often than never I just write about moments, perhaps an evening, a few days in their lives. Sometimes it's their memoirs, they telling me about their lives. And sometimes I write about them when they were human. They are also an excuse for me to write stuff taking place in historical settings; my oldest vampire is about 2,400 years old and the youngest is 45, and I have loads of other vampires in between. ^^

Had been working on a lot of different fictions- mostly high fantasy or modern-day fantasy.
Unfortunately, the laptop it was all on has been stolen.
Bah.
But! The main story had been about Nameless, a young man who'd been sold into slavery to pay his father's debts and had encountered great cruelty at the hands of different owners. As a result of this, he had developed a highly aggressive, misanthropic personality, which tended to cause great difficulties when combined with the sparks of intelligence which hadn't been crushed out by a less-than-kind life.
When he is purchased by a foreigner who simply wants to try and experiment in rehabilitating badly abused slaves into free society, he encounters an entirely new kind of person- one who is not even a mortal.

Note- this is not a vampire story. It puts questions on accepting social norms, the safety of theology, and the ability of the human mind to adapt after severe long-term trauma. The main character, Nameless, refused to accept freedom because he associated freedom and the trapping of it with abuse, aggression, and mistreatment. He refused to take a name, because slaves do not have them- but their oppressors, their owners and torturers do. Nameless has become a strange character, and I'm not sure where I'm going with him. I don't know if he's going to adapt to free society, or if he's going to break down completely (he's had a few minor collapses already), or if he'll do something else entirely. My characters tend to behave on their own, and I learn more about them as I write them.

Delkaetre, that sounds like a very interesting piece of work. I hope to learn more about it. I'm currently writing the only type of book I'm knowledgeable about.....WAR STORIES. (I'm kinda a WW2/weapons buff) The current story is about a small platoon of soldiers surrounded by an enemy division and must make a last stand at their headquarters. Plus it takes place on a post nuclear apocalypse style planet.

I'm afraid it's going to have to be re-written, as I wasn't wise enough to create a backup every week. Lost the whole bloody thing, because I was waiting on getting a new server to do my backing up of work! But I remember the key ideas, I can make something of it.
I'm not too good with war stories, but I'm a better spell-checker and proof reader than Microsoft, so if you'd like a human to look over it for you, I can have a check. I always prefer to get someone to check my stuff before I show anyone.

PMs don't seem to work on this site. If someone's managed to send you a Private Message, they must have some very special way of doing it. My email's on the site listed in my sig, though, so if you want to get in contact, just email the Delkaetre listed on the Contact And Guestbook page.

I'm currently writing a screenplay for what I'm hoping will become an independent film. The plot is about a group of high school seniors enjoying their last October before they graduate and the odd occurrences that happen around their town.
I wanted to work on a screenplay because I haven't done anything like this before, and it's an interesting new challenge.
Originally it was going to be shot in segments and featured on Youtube in an episodic fashion, but i scrapped that idea when i realized how hard it would be to keep people (namely actors) interested in the project. So instead I'm hoping to get it around two hours long.
My idea for this is to have something like Twin Peaks meets Dawson's Creek meets Silent Hill, tied together in the from of a dark, sentimental comedy.

Well, didn't have time to read all the interesting entries just now. Must dash to work. Yes. On Christmas. Time and a half and all that. Did breakfast with my son which is the main thing.

Wanted to say, congratulations to all, (For applying yourselves to the ancient art of writing.) and to all a good write.

I have made some progress on a novel called The Hurters, a
semi-autobiographical dark fantasy, a kind of Jekyl and Hyde story where the two exist in physically seperate form, loosely connected as it were. Has much to do with animals and Mother Earth.

I have decided to up the ante' still more than merely writing the book. I too am driven by visions, (See HumanePain.), and working on a mixed media art show to promote and develop and further express the story in addition to the book itself. Want to write an animated film script as well. They do make a lot of movies where I live in New Mexico.

I have not been as productive for awhile as I started out, but do find that it is kind of like a lady friend of mine described cliff-diving. "Don't look, just jump!" I spend way too much time a-playing on the web for one. Need to let the internal editor and drill instructor battle it out in the other room while I slug a little wine to kill the pain and just flow. Bits and pieces emerge this way, the aftermath of which always feels euphoric. Then there is much subconscious processing which occurs, linking the seemingly disparate pieces together. Often get most motivated when I know that I don't have much time. El oh well! Am planning soon to at least create files for different aspects that I know I will write. Once the file is created it has begun to exist in external form.

Very sorry to hear that! I once wrote a story on a word processor. Having finished it I got up to celebrate with some cake and flipped off a light switch and of course the word processor was on the same circuit! It seems that I do this with my best writing! Do need to get a printer soon... :^)

I'm actually working on my novel and want to finish it before June 2008 ... That's HELL , because the work is about compress more than 1000 pages into -300 and is sad to cut scenes and chapters just because you have to shorten it ... But whatever , someday got to finish it ... I feel like a killer somehow ...
