No, you'd have about a buck seventy. But I didn't bank on you being able to do basic math.

WTH?! Alot of those bands on the list aren't even close to emo! I actually like some emo bands, not those fake band that call themselves emo. What happened to the original emo?! There needs to be a revival of true emotive hardcore music!
And....I'm done..

That is definitely the kind of stereotype I'm used to hearing about emo kids... though I can't testify to its accuracy as I haven't really had an opportunity or excuse to talk to any emo kids...

[offtopic]AUGH I forgot to listen to a radio show I like last night... Yay archives![/offtopic]

Emo kids can come to my house to hide out until all the bashing stops. I'm a kind heart.

Or, ya know, it could be an abusive father, an alcoholic mother, major depression...

Ultimately, does it matter? Who has the right to go about defining what is and isn't emo? And why does anybody care? To those bands who label themselves as emo, more power to you, and to those bands who are assumed "emo" due to the content of their lyrics, metaphors are a strange and wonderful thing guys. I think the goth vs emo war needs to die. When you break it down, there are a million better things you could be doing with your time rather than arguing over whether or not this or that band is emo. Everyone needs to relax, and enjoy the music they love without others interfering and attempting to understand things they obviously do not.

I don't like to think of myself as emo, but I do like some emo music.

It's just I can relate to it sometimes.

If they bring food or a bottle of Cpt Morgan's Dark rum, my place is open too. Hell, that goes for just about anybody.

RUM!

If Emo kids brought me Captain Morgan's, you wouldn't be able to pry my hands from being lovingly curled around them.

...

RUM!

Personally I don't mind them. They mind their business we mind ours, I don't see why people make such a big deal. If they want to be the stereotypical cutter Emo kids, let them. As long as they don't get blood all over my coat I'm fine.

If I record an entire 6 hours of nothing but myself crying and screaming, can I be the one that made the longest emo song?

To be brutally honest, the only band in that list that I'd ever even heard of is Jimmy Eat World.

Hell, call me uninformed or whatever, but I've never even heard of the other bands.

Well, I listen to a whole bunch of stuff that can be classified as emo. I just came to Gnet for the heck of it.
