Not on the first three albums tard. Bathory started to evolve into what would beocme viking metal starting with the album "Blood Fire Death". However, the first three albums; Bathory, The Return Of Darkness and Evil, Under The Sign Of A Black Mark" are all founding black metal albums.
Now if you want some more good black metal try:
Burzum, Darkthrone, ChemiKiller, Isengard, Mayhem, Immortal, Celtic Frost, and the like. That's all I can recommend, I never got too much into black metal other than the fact that I worship Bathory.
EDIT:
I saw Skeletonwitch in concert, they were supporting Dimmu Borgir and Danzig.
I'm also going to be seeing Municipal Waste in December, they're going to be playing with Phobia, which is pretty much the reason I'm going, love those guys.

Isahn is one of the best musicians out there, and what makes this music even more incredible is how young the band were when they released their first album !!!.

See, I just don't agree with you at all. But everybody is entitled to their own opinion. When I started listening to black metal, those are the bands I got into, so that's the end of that chapter.
And no, Leviathan is at the bottom of the ambient black metal list.

The two ambient style albums that Burzum did are great. Daudi Baldrs being one of them. I don't consider them as having anything to do with metal.
Emperor is pretty great, too.
