I went to the mall last night and bought "Nightwish- Once" I would have already had it but had trouble finding it. Would you believe the music store labeled it as Pop? *shudder*

Dont Believe The Truth by Oasis. It's such an amazingly retro album. It sounds like it could've come out during the 60s and still sounds awesome.

I'm planning to get that one real soon, Suspiria. Katatonia is awesome.
Oasis, on the other hand, sucks. I liked their first two albums when they came out, at least they rocked, but anything after that is just pompous shite. Too much money and cocaine, in-fighting, and a severe lack of songwriting progress, effectively ruined that band a long time ago.

The last album I bought was Audioslave's first (with "Cochise", "Show Me How to Live", etc.) for Mothers' Day. My mommy loves em.
The last album I bought for myself was Diary of Dreams' "Moments of Bloom" It is a fucking superb album!

This album is absolutely amazing! It's a big step away from my trademark Cradle of Filth collection (I think I've got about 7 or 8 of their albums now) but I couldn't stop playing the CD for almost a week!
All in all a 9 out of 10. The 10 is reserved only for Cradle.

not everything I've recieved, but the highlights
Band Of Horses-"Everything All The Time"-I wanted to hate this band. The guy used to be in Carrisa's Weird, the second most over-hyped, undertalented band from Seattle (the first being the Murder City Devils). However, just like Pretty Girls Make Graves rose from MCD, Band Of Horses rises from CW, and the results are awe-inspiring. Placing themselves somewhere between Slowdive and Mazzy Star (with more than a dash of the No-Depression style country....you know, the country music that DOESN'T suck), "Everything All the Time" has a haunting aura about it that quietly devastates the soul.
Sonic Youth-"Goo (Deluxe Edition)"-when I was in high school, Sonic Youth was the coolest band in the world (Husker Du had just broken up, Black Flag was ruined by Henry Rollins, the Cure's catalog was fairly hard to find here, and the Jesus And Mary Chain had fans that were so god-awful that you never wanted to admit to liking them). "Goo", while not being their masterpiece (that would be "Daydream Nation", though "EVOL" comes a close second), stands as their most accomplished album. From the dreamy soundscapes of "Dirty Boots" to the noise-fucking of "Mote" to the grrl-power bird-to-the-world of "Kool Thing" to the haunting journey to somewhere over the horizon of "Disappearer", "Goo" was the best justification for ignoring the musical tastes of 99% of the world. So why re-release it? Well, all the b-sides to all the singles, 4 songs that didn't make the final cut of the album, and the original demo takes of all the songs (plus a history of the album, where one learns that the final title "Goo" has nothing to do with the original title, which was "Blowjob?") I think more than justifies the $30 price tag. Listen to this and remember when all cool music swirled in dayglo and caused hallucinations when played loud enough.
Lots of Massive Attack-so I'm unhappy about missing these guys next week. So a friend of mine gave me a whole slew of songs/collaborations. My faves-Massive Attack and Tricky Vs. Bjork, Massive Attack remixing Tool, and (top of the top) Massive Attack and Mos Def covering the Bad Brains classic "I Against I"....holy fucking shit!!!!

Before last week it had been awhile since i actually bought a cd, so i splurged a little:
Opeth - Damnation which i haven't had the chance to sit down and really listen to, i put it on when i get in from work because it is nice and mellow....ahhhh.
KMFDM - WWIII for the days when i'm already pissed off and want to get even angrier.
i orderd Acid Bath - Demos from the bookstore, can't wait to get that one.

The Mission `Anthology: The Phonogram Years`
This is the new `best of...` compilation by `The Mission` (UK) and it`s the best compilation they have done.
It has all the classics from `Serphents Kiss` to `Tower of Strength` and includes some rare and unreleased stuff.
If anyone likes `The Mission`, I highly reccomend this!.  .

I bought David Bowie's "Low" on Friday. It is not what I was expecting at all, but I still like it. Half of the album is instrumental, and rather creepy. It contains a lot of chanting. One of the songs - "Breaking Glass" - has some brilliant lyrics:

"Only Theatre of Pain" by Christian Death
-and-
"In the Flat Field" by Bauhaus
It took me an eternity to find these, but they were certianly worth it!

Acid Bath - Demos: 1993-1996
"The hot, humid swamps of the Louisiana bayou, early 1993. Dax Riggs, Audie Pitre, Sammy Duet, Mike Sanchez, and Jimmy Kyle drove from New Orleans to Orlando to record a demo for their band...aptly named, Acid Bath. What nobody knew was that they were about to pour the sonic foundation that dozens of bands would ultimately use to build their own houses on.
These recordings, namely the demos contained within, are what the band laid down and are almost like a mile marker as to how their sound developed, evolved and became the polar opposite of what was going on in the music industry at that time. Sit back, spin the volume knob to the right and let it burn..."
Awesome cd. Many of the songs have different lyrics than the ones that are on the two cd's Acid Bath put out with Rotten Records. Raw. Very nice.

Christian Death, Darkwave? Try Deathrock (well under Rozz they are, under Valor they cease to be either Goth or good)
Those are two of the most important Goth albums ever, I would find it very difficult to consider someone a 'Goth' of they didn't have at least one of them.
How were they hard to find? You can get them on Amazon quite easily, unless you wanted them on vinyl of course.
The last album i actually bought was Aiien Sex Fiend's 'Who's Been Sleeping In My Brain?' on Vinyl.
erm, the last thing I downloaded was some Bloody Dead and Sexy, but haven't managed to get a whole album yet....will probably end up buying one anyway.

Last one I bought is "Tearing Arms from Deities" by ATTRITION, bought for the Stromkern remix of Cosmetic Citizen, but really loving hearing their earlier stuff and the different sound.
My last album was Cages by Menagerie, the lovable louisiana locals put out a storming gig and were gracious enough to allow me to add the album to the FDRadio playlist. For anyone interested, if you like Evanescence or Lacuna Coil then they've got a simliar, yet more progressive rock flavoured, sound.

I've attained several wonderful albums as of late. I bought "the Seven Year Itch Live" by Siouxsie and "a Passage in Time" by Dead Can Dance. Just last night I purchased "Takk" by Sigur Ros, and I've downloaded "Pornography" and "Faith" by the Cure, as well as "Substance" by Joy Division. I'm experiencing a music overload! Perhaps that isn't a bad thing, though.
