Hi OnixxFilth,

I was wondering if you could tell me more about Nocturne, what kind of music do they play ?.

Killing Joke, definitely... but they have two different basic songs. Those that are outright aggressive that makes you want to smash shit in your room and others which are more subtle and suited for diabolical plotting.

I play a lot of computer games like Everquest 2 and RTSes like Battle for Middle Earth II and Star Was: Empires at War. So what all does that have to do with this? They are outlets for my aggression. So if I feel like beating the living crap out of something I play a computer game and listen to either "Eighties" or "Let's All Go (to the Fire Dances)".

Now if I'm in a revenge mood and I'm plotting to bring about the downfall of someone who has pissed me off deeply, it would either be something like "Kings and Queens" or "Love Like Blood". Nothing inspires me more to creative ways of getting even than the subtler Killing Joke songs.

Oh, whilst on the subject of Killing Joke, any of their stuff after "Nighttime" sucks the donkey's balls.

Anything metal usually works. Best used with a game that involves killing things. (exception: Civ IV, when entire nations are killed off!)

I still get angry, but not in the same way as I used to. There are a few ways:

I get exceptionally restless, angry, and elated at the same time. It happens more than you'd think, and when it does I basically thrash around, be it mentally or physically, and sing to myself about how terribly bored/angry/happy I am. It happens often when I paint.

I seethe about larger issues. I catch myself thinking about these things and am genuinely surprised about how deeply I can hate. I used to hate people, now I hate the things that keep them from becoming humans-- ignorance, weakness, conformity.

I hold most of society in contempt. I'm not angry at them, per se, but I hate the weakness that weighs them down. In the same way, I hate my own weakness-- not necessarily myself.

A song I really like to listen to when I'm super pissed off is "Problems" by the Sex Pistols: "It's too much fun, being alive, lalala..." (sung sarcastically, of course) I'm gonna listen to that later...

Mars, Bringer of War - The Planets, by Holst. But I usually don't have time to go and pop that in, so most of the time it's nothing but silence.

I just got really angryfied listening to Anti-Flag's "Die For Your Government". It's the kind of angry where you go "I know EXACTLY how you feel".

If I am pissed, and that happens on a regular basis, then I listen to some reflective-heartbreaking-screaming-out-to-the-world-aarrroooooo! song that makes my spirits go so low, that there is no more energy to go kicking ass.
