The third one looked kind of plain until after the DIY in the fourth with the feline pelt. Nice touch! Especially if you attach the skull to one of the shoulders, with the fangs showing.

I was taking a picture of the jacket when the cat walked in, she was curious about what I was doing and started to snuggle into the jacket on the floor. Cute.

No outfit is complete without cat fur. Especially if applied by cuddling.

Wow. OM, the jackets are totally cool. I bought a knee-length, double breasted black leather coat at a place here called "Something Wicked" (wish they would get their website up and running) for, get this, the unheard of price of 15$.
I practically live in it. As for trim for the coat, if it is knee length the belt would be okay. If it is shorter I would put the pelt around the collar only, otherwise it would be overdone. Also, you could try studs. You can get those at Wal-Mart if you are on a budget and at Tandy Leather Goods (they usually have a sales table). (That's where I buy the stuff for my Southwestern-Style leather Christmas wreaths - and yes, someday if I get the $$ I will get my web site back up and running).

No - find a way to pin it so it doesn't flop around, maybe use studs.
Opteron-Man, if I were your GF you'd never get to wear the biker jacket because I'd borrow it... permanently. LOL.
Anyway, I'm fading into the wallpaper now and just wanted to say farewell to you before I go. You're a good person and I wish you luck in all your endeavors.

Yeah, actually, the first jacket is the most classy one you have. I wouldn't do much to it at all. Maybe stitch a back patch on it and add a few buttons about things you're into like alternative energy for a more classic punk look. I would go with a Sisters of Mercy back patch if you happen to really like that band.
Biker jackets are great. The other ones are a bit bland, if not a bit mall gothy if worn for the intent of being goth if you ask me.

The first is pretty close to what I have always had. I grew up in the old school biker scene, so that was the first style I ever got. Most of my leathers are, well, leathers. Meant to be worn on a bike, so they are of that style, or the hip length-padded-heavily armored type. Definitely like the first one.

I have a black biker jacket that I love, I've been trying to get my girlfriend to paint it for me, but she doesn't seem to have the time. I'm really looking forward to when she can though, cause she's really good and it'll look amazing. Not sure exactly what I want on it though.

I wore shit like this long before I ever heard of the Goth scene. I like this type of stuff because black is my favorite color. Reguardless of the un-unofficail Goth dress code.

Do you think I give a damn? So I think your first jacket is awesome and your other jackets are lame. Big deal.

I agree KontanKarite, I just thought I would lay all of the jackets out.

I own the first one. Well, the one thing you could do is leave it the fuck alone, they look great as is. Want to look amazingly cool? Go greaser/eldritch. Slick yer hair, get some combat boots and some black jeans with a white T shirt, always a good look. Simple, and tough. Plus most people won't give you flack for looking weird or fruity, which is a plus.
If you must mod it, then go nuts. Back patch, spikes on the shoulders, studs on the front and back(English 77 preferred for that jacket.)
If you want really cheap studs, look no further than studsandspikes.com, absolutely amazing stuff. I get all my studs from there. Just let your imagination run wild.
Two bits of advice for studs and spikes. You WILL need an exato knife and needle nose pliers unless you have the patience of a saint. Bending and poking and screwing, very labor intensive, but worth it.

I have a jacket that used to be nice, but now it's old and beat up. The lining in torn, the insides of the pockets got chewed by my rats (I used to keep them there when I was trying to smuggle them into places), and the leather itself is scuffed, worn, and, in many places, no longer black.
It's no longer nice. Now, it has character.

I totally agree. Plus, I have a bit of an attachment to it. I've had it for eight years.

I finally found a leather biker jacket in a tiny ladies size that fits me, on sale 50% off in one of the most 'fashionable' streets in Rome, hah! And I'm going to paint it up and stud it and throw bones on it and love it to bits forever and ever .
Only problem is I can't decide which band gets the honours of the main back space. I'm so terrified of fucking it up since it's probably the only leather jacket I'll ever find that doesn't make me look like I'm drowning in cow skin.

Cicero, it probably doesn't need a back patch. How about making various arm bands and switching them up?
OOh, and if you've just GOT to have a back patch, check this out...
Make several back patches but with snaps on each corner and have the other half of said snaps inserted onto the back of your jacket. Th way you can switch up your back patch by snapping a new one on like the closure of a pair of pants. Savvy?
