Marilyn Manson Is starting his own Makeup line and fragrance
Excited about this? I am a little. I love marilyn manson (in a straight kinda way haha ) but Id totally wear the makeup if he puts out some nice black colors. And if the fragrance smells good, id hella wear it. I hear its going to be a unisex fragrance. So what do you guys think?

I don't wear makeup, but, if it is good quality and interesting ("Black as My Soul" and "White Trash" as colors don't quite cut it. Anyone can make black and white makeup) I'm fine with it. As for the fragrance... well, as long as it's inexpensive and smells nice I'd buy it. No "Decay No 1," please.
On second thought...

If there was an affordable foundation that wasn't quite white but was very pale, I might be interested. It's hard for me to find the right colour foundation, everything's generally either too dark or actually is whiteface.
Actually that goes for any makeup line. (damn you Urban Decay for discontinuing "Apparition"!)

Ok....
Marilyn's visual image is "eye candy" but I think hasn't progressed much.
It would be another line of "celebrity" making profit using such cheap tatics to better their income. I think if he was to bring out his own make-up line and/or fragrance, it wouldn't be worth buying. Seriously, unless L'oreal or other big make-up company is assisting him in his entrepreneurial skills in an actual "successful make-up line", then there's possible hope.

For exactly that reason (that his image is so important to him) I believe that the makeup at least would be worth checking out.

He may be well known for his infamous/famous make-up visuals and that wouldn't be a problem in advertising and selling his products. But, I think this another money-making scam pulled from another celebrity's ass. His aim is probably to sell products that represent him in some way and to further promote himself and increase his income.
I doubt it very much that his products are even of high quality and even if it was, it would be sky priced due to his celebrity status.

I'd buy them if they have a good price/quality ratio.
NyQuil, do you know Amphigory? They have very good pale foundations.

Oooh, thank you. Their Illusion White looks about the right colour, actually.

Before he decided to do the whole project, he was asked whether or not he'd ever put his name on a fragrance or anything. He said: "In the sense that absurdity is a wonderful form of communication — as is confusion and other things that surround it — it's very possible that [the fragrance] could happen," Manson said. "If it does happen, just know that I'll be laughing. That doesn't mean I'm not taking it seriously, but if I had to make a cologne or a fragrance, I would make something that would be for men and women."
So he's doing it in a weird way. Because people who know him know this isn't him, so he's trying to say something with that. God knows I have no clue what he's trying to say, but maybe somebody else does?

I'm going to go out onto a limb here, and guess that he smells like Astroglide and farm animals. I guess there is only one way to be sure, however.

Haha!! Once my friend and I were in the mall and we saw Christina Agulara and Brittany Spears perfume... my friend said "According to their image, that perfume should smell like whore and butt".

I don't know how Christina's perfume smells like. But the Britney Spears Curious perfume seriously smells cheap and disgusting. The bottle itself is cheap looking. Paris Hilton's perfume even smells better.

That's my opinion, though there are two gorgeous members here who adore the product.

I think he/she means cheap costing? I don't think Manson's new brand is going to be cheap. Reasonable I hope...

Hhmm. I guess is it smells good, wear it, but I'm guessing by the quote that Marilyn Manson will be laughing at you for an unknown reason.
Have you guys tried GothRosary scents? I wear Funeral Flowers.

Well, this is now shill, but if you go to www.gothrosary.com you can get interfaith rosaries or whatever the hell you want made custom for you and they also have mists in original scents. Like Dervish, Samhain, Gravestone Moss, etc. I have a bunch of Vanilla Hell and Funeral Flowers. You can even get rosaries made of skulls, goddesses, spiders, whatever you want.
I wonder if I can get a discount now.

He has made a ton of money marketing his image already.......however his sun has been setting. If he wanted to make a ton of money off of this venture he should have done it when the whole 'I'm a 12 year old 'goth' and I want to marry Marilyn Manson' talk show craze was going on in the late 90's.
