Cliches in movies!
Talk about the cliches of movies! A removed character being a key part in the plot, an evil in a big house that has been caused by the death of a person who once lived in said residence.... wait a minute... well, blah blah blah, you get the point.

The big ending battle between the good guy and bad guy where the good guy looks like he's going to die, but just in time he kills the bad guy and gets the girl.

Alrighty then
A= popular girl or guy, seemingly perfect
B= unpopular guy or girl, very cute and makes people wonder why they're not appreciated.
C=best friend of B, who is also extremely good looking and sweet to boot.
In many cases, B likes A, and A gives B insignificant glances that B swoons over. C is always helping B with getting A, and A eventually likes B, but A is a total jerk. B dumps A, and finally notices how worthy C is, and B and C live happily ever after while A goes and hangs out with some slut.

Girl and guy are dancing. Then everyone slows down and time seems to stand still and they kiss.

Action movies... When the lead guy or girl jumps all around, gets shot at with many many guns at the same time, kicks ass, jumps off bridges, buildings... Etc... And only gets away with one scratch over the eye... Maybe more than one... But he/she always get out alive and victorious...
Sick of watching that...

Villain gains technology to move around in time to give themselves an advantage in the future, causing the hero to use similar technology and chase said villain around through time for some dumb ass reason.
Which usually ends in the cliche way of doing things in the nick of time, before their device/portal/hole in space runs out of power/time/automatically sends them back/causes them to get stuck in that time.

Crossed my mind too when I was writing it, along with Stargate SG1, Star Trek, and many other shows/movies. >.<
Another variant I think is the time-loop plot and they have to fix it. That one gets kind of annoying about half way through.

The beautiful but crazy ex-girlfriend/ one night stand that just won't let go. And also:
The villain kidnapping the protagonist's most important person in the world forcing them to choose between their life & the fate of the world but being able to save both just in time.

Computers being MAGICAL!
No character ever makes a typo! Everything loads at a speed to challenge the likes of Google Chrome!
Crazy stuff happens, like pictures magically appearing on screens out of nowhere!
Also, Self-Destruct and Override buttons on various machines in sci-fi movies...

I always hated action movies where the hero is caught in a HAIL of 1,000 bullets from every direction, yet he dances around and never gets it. As if by some grace of god he has a magical shield protecting him.
