there's a lot of Faux hip hop and HC toughguys where I live.

I saw a Rudeboy the other day too. I wanted to steal his hat.

Haha, that's fucking awesome!!
It's cool because it's true. Completely true, they're not even exaggerating!
The punk guy reminds me of several friends that only know anarchy because they hear Crass.

I had a Popcore Dork friend in highschool before there ever was a 'scene' look. Exactly like the picture. That guy was a thousand times more gangster than anyone I've ever met. He was down for anything. Once we went to Schlitterbahn water theme park and he wore a speedo with a big curly wig stuffed down the front. Classic. Another great moment is when he got a skullet haircut with a half-beard. It was a pretty big half-beard too.

I also had some orgcore friends when I lived in Milwaukee. Cool guys.

LMFAO@ Subdermal brass knuckle implant.

You know, I actually like the "hxc tough guy"
You don't see that many anymore. Now hardcore is for people that look like the "screamo front man"
The number of real hardcore fans hasn't changed, I bet; it's just that there's more people trying to look cool than actually being cool.

You should move to southern cali, orange county. They are everywhere and once they realize they don't intimidate you they tend to be pretty decent, down to earth people. Still a good amount of them are pretty vacant and way too preoccupied with trying to seem unapproachable or serving time in county jail.

Thanks to this I now realize I have a Brootal Kid for a little brother.

Curse you Kontan, I was blissfully ignorant of Fall Out Boy until I saw this site.

Now I have to try and unsee and unhear them. Crap.

Haha, that shows a sociological truth worth mentioning:
Things are only 'cool' when they're minimal.

In your area, they exist in masses, and are just another scene trying to look cool. Over here that there's so few, they're actually smart, nice, don't take themselves seriously, and know what they're talking about.

Is it because to an outsider being rare makes them interesting; or is it because their relative isolation gives them time to think and end up actually being interesting.

A lot of guys here look like the hxc tough guy, but it just seems to be the look for skeets, rather than a scene.

She looks like the singer from my first punk band in high school.

I want a subdermal brass knuckle implant now.

Strange. When I see them all that comes to mind is binge drinking, methamphetamine, and getting into public fist fights in the middle of the afternoon. When they aren't street racing they tend to drive black pickup trucks with way too much suspension with insanely self destructive intention. I mean these guys have to be the WORST motorists in existance.

They hang out en masse too. I can't imagine them hanging out on their own like you say. Always having parties, drinking too much beer and trying to trick people into thinking their gut fat is really all muscle.

There's actually a new creed of them evolving that are kind of a mix between HxC and Wannabe porn star. They deck their trucks out with "BallsDeep" rear windshield stickers and "Hows the weather down there" bumper stickers to go with their suspended trucks. They're kind of a cross between Roger Miret and Fred Durst. Truly pathetic.

I should have written the subheading for these guys since the author was unwilling to.

Let me take you down to Williamsburg one time, you'll have your pick of 70 variations on that girl within the first five minutes. They're kind of like deer are upstate, except even harder to shoo when they decide to hang out on your lawn.

You're correct in how brazen they are. I had one of them and a Faux Hiphopper making out while leaning against my car and they seriously wouldn't move until right as I was started to pull out of my parking spot. Then, as I drove away, they gave me looks for invading their moment.

One time I woke up and there were three Williamsburg chicks on my lawn, blissfully devouring all of the grass. I tried encouraging them to leave by all manner of methods, but they simply wouldn't budge, I was helpless. It reminded me of the time I went to go see Crom and the whole venue was congested with HXC tough guys and deer--
oh wait, I'm getting confused.

Yeah you are. HxC Tough Guys don't have enough sensibility to appreciate grindcore. They more or less stick to Hatebreed and System of a Down.

And you're not THAT much of a fashion tryhard to be Holloween. I was actually rather proud of myself for not fitting into any of these.

Same here. But I'm sure I could do one of deathrocker.

I guess the closest one I might be is the punk. But that's still not too accurate.

Heh, one person I know exactly fits the HxC Tough Guys mixed with a Maori version of faux hip hop description.

Besides that, I would hardly see a single version of these characters and any Hot Topic freaks that might exist go overseas.
