Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Anyone here use Fruityloops?
I'm looking for someone to do a collab / Vs. style break thingy with. If anyone interested, let me know.

If I was better at musical composition, I'd do something with ya. I know and have the program, but yeah.... I'm pretty amateur at music making.

I prefer Reason. Is that okay? Can you wait until next month when I get a new computer. The cd and USB drives on this one are busted so I can't do anything with it. It's a long story. Sounds like fun though.
In the mean while I might be able to mail you a CDR of some of my tunes.

Really gotta give you some props Duck, I downloaded the FL demo and spent 2 hours messing with it and figuring it, out of 2 hours I came up with a 2 minute pos track, not really that bad but still, first attempts never golden with me.
You have the whole version cause this demo wont let me save projects and that's annoying as hell.

harlow, if you aren't opposed to software piracy you can find FL Studio 8 on just about any torrent site.
i've been using FL Studio since Fruity Loops 4 and my tracks are still quite shitty. Good enough for a local so-called rapper to love but each time i made him a beat i died a little inside.

No I'm not opposed to it, just cant do torrents and P2P type downloading right now cause my shitty ass satellite net provider has a throttle on that shit so I only get 2k/s download rates. If you know a site that has a crack or something Id go to that but Ive found nothing but trojans on the cracks Ive found.
If you have information that might help me then Id gladly discuss this somewhere else. then again, I don't have the right to fuckin PM people so guess I'm SOL.

Hughsnet and the dreaded fucking FAP? The download shouldn't be no more than 70Mb.

Nope I'm on StarBand, and not totally sure on how they do it but I Google searched the issue and found that the main host does throttle it down. Was a while ago when I looked so I don't remember.
downloading straight from a site I get 600k/s but no matter what Ive tried on torrents I never get more than 6k/s.
haven't tried downloading through yahoo/msn/xfire and shit like that.

Well, I downloaded it and installed it (full version can be obtained for free here). Now, I just have to figure out how to use it.

took 30 minutes with a record high 7.4k/s, but I got a crack off demonoid. Works fine now, to bad I had to restart FL to install the crack and lost the work I had already done.
Maybe this time I can make something that isn't as bad lol.

I use Reason occasionally, but mainly still use Acoustica Beatcraft, a sequencing program. Audacity for mixing.
