Would you risk death to be more beautiful?

Many varieties of plastic surgery involve general anaesthesia. Every time you are given a general, there is a possibility of death, although not a large one. A variety of medications called biologics have come out to give people better skin. These dermatological wonders can actually put even a tough skin problem such as psoriasis 100% into remission, so that those who take biologics can end up with perfect skin. They are contraindicated for those with recent infections, however, as the side effect for a person who needs their immune system may be death. Some kinds of heavy exercise will make your body fabulous, but, if you have a genetic history of certain sorts of heart defects, will make you much more susceptible to dropping dead of a heart attack at a very young age. Etc.

Would you risk death to be more beautiful? How much of a risk would be acceptable?

If I were any more beautiful reality would implode in upon itself.

(And if I were any more full of hot air, I'd be a balloon.)
