Would you rather be famous or respected?

With reality television and tabloid journalism and all, there are a lot of opportunities to get one's name out there, but not all of them come along with respect. Is fame or respect more important to you? Would you feel it was worth being famous if it came with a certain lack of general respect?

Otherwise both but if I really had to choose either one, it'd be respect. Anyone could get famous but being respected requires you to do something first.

Both would be nice, but I'd definitely take respect over fame.
