Random Goth-y writings from a newly deranged mind...
So I am a little new to the goth community. I wouldn't consider myself full-fledged or anything, but I do find something beautiful and accepting about it all. It seems like a very nurturing, welcoming group and I am all about that so. A friend said I should post some of my recent writings to him on this website and say I was a "normal". Personally I am very opposed to being called normal in any sense of the word. But I am submitting this anyway for anyone's review. I'll be curious to see what response it gets. So, here goes:
"You have shown me a great love, so pure, so unselfish, sacrificing, even. Words so beautiful, so piercing.... it is a throbbing ache that fills me like a torrential April downpour. Such wounds they inflict, but not new ones... they rip at the scars left from dreams i had long stopped hoping would ever come to be."
"When I look back at that day, it's my "before". When fear controlled me. When I was afraid to step off the edge into the vast unknown. One of the first few tentative, nervous, trembling steps that have led to a beautiful journey... there have been many shadowy valleys. But there have been such exhilarating, breathtaking peaks too. I would trade many shadowy valleys for just one of those precious climaxes."
"Trace your love on my skin with your hands, with your kiss, each caress burns an exquisite tattoo."
"Sitting here on my bed, in the glow of a single candle, enveloped in a blanket of sweet blackness, I feel your breath in my ear, your lips on my neck, your fingers on my skin, and a sensation like electric runs through me... I need to see you, hear you, feel you close to me and thus feel more complete, reunited with that part of me that only you keep."
"Sad. Thoughtful. Weary. Grieving for losses I don't entirely understand, for missing pieces of me, but i don't know what is supposed to fill their places. A hollow ache, constant. Not gnawing, not sharp, just enough to feel its presence."
"Finally I can surrender, drop my defenses, lay aside my strength for a little while. You can fulfill your role in the work, and I can fulfill mine, and order feels restored."
"Strength takes its toll, my mind resists what my body cannot."
"You whisper "I love you"; a lovely knife pierces the walls I've been so long building. I catch my breath, afraid to exhale, to let this tender fleeting moment escape, so i hold it for as long as i can stand. And as I exhale, the weight of those precious words presses firmly to my chest. My heart has never known such sweet anguish."
"When nighttime steals the next daylight, press a kiss to the hollow of my neck and hold me in your arms as I melt in your strong grasp and forget the troubles of my addled mind."
More to come.....
