Hey
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job) Well I'm a junior in college. I like watching films, seriously I'm a huge movie fanatic. I also like riding my bike, video games and going to museums.
2. Where are you from? DC
3. Who is your favorite author? Mark Twain and Reinaldo Arenas
4. What are your favorite films? Some of my favs include Swingers, True Romance, No Country for Old Men, Half Nelson, Ghost World, Strange Days, Oldboy, Manhunter, Punch Drunk Love, The Professional
5. What music do you want played at your wedding? Well I don't care what music is playing when I'm walking down but when we have our "first" dance I would love to dance to Summer Time by Miles Davis
6. At your funeral? I don't even want a funeral just a memorial
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die? Suffocation by a pillow
8. What kind of casket would you want? None I want to be cremated but if not I just want an ordinary black casket
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit? I honestly don't have a favorite outfit but I love shoes and jackets.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid? elementary school
11. What's your favorite band? Sigur Ros, Luminous Orange and anything shoegaze. I like other bands but those are my two absolutely favorite bands.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major? I'm trying to go towards a career in exhibition design.
13. Why did you join? I've always been interested in the goth subculture (more so for the "haute" goth fashion) but I never got engaged in it because I couldn't get into the music fully. I liked a few songs here but I never went further. But now I'm starting to get really interested in goth music but I don't know where to start. What started me was Misfits but I think they're more punk than anything but yeah it's leading me to goth. Hopefully you good people can help me with this.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender? Female

Well shoegaze is better than Evanescence, I guess. I love My Bloody Valentine and Cranes and shit...that's shoegaze right there in its best form.
Welcome, stick around.

Why do you want to be cremated? That way you can't come back as a zombie. You'd be missing out on a hell of a lot of fun and flesh-eating!

That's why I want to be cremated! Eyuck I don't want to be eating human flesh and ultimately get my head blown off by a shotgun. I'll just skip all that and be dust. Dust can be fun.

Welcome welcome, nice to meet you. For getting your feet wet in goth music, try the staples, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, Christian Death, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees and if I could throw some personal recommendations, Switchblade Symphony, Mephisto Walz, London After Midnight, Alien Sex Fiend, and Collide. Oh! And Dead can Dance
The Misfits, while being an amazing band, are certainly not goth, but it's a good place to put some roots down, I guess.

Considering they've both been spawned from heavy metal. One as an evolution and the other as a revolt.
(Goth rock evolved from glam metal/rock which branched off of heavy metal)
So it's not toooooo big a jump. I mean, yeah it's not goth music but it is a good place to start. She even said she thought they were more punk than anything.

Yay! I got the newbie shoes of StarredLeaf. +2 Intelligence, +1 Charisma, + 3 film knowledge, +2 agility when using bicycle, +2 resistance to DC creatures, vulnerable to pillow.
Hmm, maybe I've been playing Final Fantasy too much. Anyway, welcome to the boards!

Despite all the lackeys claiming that FF7 was the greatest of all, any real FF fan knows that the American FF3 (VI in Japan) was the best FF ever. If we're talking about all Square games, Chronotrigger ftw.

Everytime I see your forum name I read it as "Vaginamortis."

You know what I don't understand? Why 7 is deemed the best. Whats so great about it? The story line made very little sense and the characters were so unlovable. Was it Sephiroth's girly looks? Was Cloud's angst easy to relate to?
Confession: VI was the only one I haven't played yet, I will find an emulator one of these days but I just can't get into FF games lately. Still haven't beaten XII even though I really did enjoy playing it, and it was shaping up to be one of the better ones.

I always thought it was because it was the first 3D one that had the cinematics.
