I don't get it. How did Johnny lose his mind? I've collected Pistols shows for years and that's one of the best live versions of Pretty Vacant I've ever heard. Of course, he looked like a freak, but we can't expect anything less of him.

Siouxsie convinced me she was a badass in it, and Billie Idol was just kind of a little prick, being self-important. Much like his career.
Gen X is still some good tunes, though.

Pistols, The Damned and a bunch of other bands all came out of pub rock and shit like that.
The Pistols were a result of casting, and basically just Malcolm's marketing tool.

Yeah, just selling an attitude, if people with more suitable attitudes came around he would've dropped Vicious and Rotten like that. He would've dropped all of them the same way.

I think the thing I hat most is how Sid Vicious is famous for being a loser and dieing.
Pistols would never have had such lasting fame if he was alive.
Same with Ian Curtis and Kurt Cobain.

This is a little dumb, but thank Chuck Malcolm was the Pistol's manager. If they had a manager who wasn't so hungry to sell an image, a good manager. They would've never broken up... well, they would've broken up later, and Rotten might not have started PiL.
