Guten Tag! Zdrastvetya! Hello!
Hello. I am Igor and...
1. I earn my keep.
2. I am from Ogden, Utah.
3. I have no fave author, but I like classics and nonsense fiction.
4. My fave movie is Return of the Living Dead.
5. I'm married, so it is too late for a wedding song. However, for our 13th anniversary we would like to go goth. It's in October as well.
6. Funeral songs would be "Beloved" by VNV Nation, "I'm Not Here" by Good Courage, and "Remember I was Vapor" by Gary Numan.
7. My choice way to die is to fall through many layers of mirrors so that as my body is torn to shreds, the bits and pieces reflect in the shattered pieces of mirror. Ideally I would continually be torn apart until i was no more than a fine red mist. However, the physics involved make that highly unlikely.
8. No casket for me. Cremate me. I don't want to take up any more space than need be.
9. I tend not to dress heavily goth. Usually just a concert Tee or black. However, I do have a cool black trench. I also have a winter coat that is very military looking, black, with velcro rectangles at the sleeve for slapping on my favorite band patches.
10. I miss very little about being a kid as I am still very much a child at heart.
11. My favorite band(s) are The Damned, She Wants Revenge, :wumpscut:, and OhGr just to name a few.
12. I have a BA in English Literature with a minor in Philosophy.
13. I joined because, other than my wife, I have very little contact with other goths. It would be nice to have someone else with which to discuss shared loves, interests, and experiences.
14. I am of the masculine persuasion.

Do you live in the Velvet Room? I'll welcome you with open arms if you do.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what the velvet room is. I hope that does not offend.

No offense taken, it's just a waste of a damn good reference.

The velvet room
My apologies. I've made some pretty obscure references in my day and it is disappointing when they miss the mark. However, I know what the Velvet Underground is, though not enough to list off song titles.

I know very (and I mean very) little Russian. Comes from not being able to use it often enough.
Also, igor, unlike most goth names, was not chosen by me, but given to me as a nickname. It fits me well as I like to help if I can and I'm a bit weird. And it is "E-gor" and not "I-gor" for the record.
I do like the Marty Feldman reference, though. Young Frankenstein is a fine comedy because Mel Brooks had a sincere love for the original movies. That is the best way to do a spoof.

I figured as much. Thought I would try my hand at being facetious.
Is it a Persona 2 reference? A web search provides a lot of results. Apparently there are many velvet rooms out there, including several clubs.

Farewell
I've tried out this forum and find that it just isn't right for me. I suppose I expected something different. Oh well. Goodbye.
