VnV Nation
Personally, I love VnV Nation, it's one of my favourite bands of all time and it's industrial at it's most danceable (In my opinion of course).
The lyrics are written with an immeasurable passion, reflecting today's society in an emotional way and a political view, though with dark undertones.
Cold, but energetic beats with an eerie orchestral passion. Philosophical, profound and symbolic all blended into instruments and the wail of the VnV man himself, Ronan Harris. Harris, on vocals and electronics with all the lyrical talent with his mastermind partner, Mark Jackson on the drums. This industrial duo delivers industrial music like no other band.
Their instrumentals at times can get a little bit repetitive but it's all good.
My favourite album of theirs is Empires, what do you guys think about them?
By the way, Hail the king, Ronan Harris.

Yay for VNV Nation. My favourite album of theirs is Futureperfect, and song is between Genesis and Structure.
I was lucky enough to see them in concert (lucky not only because they rock but because I was 15 and if they'd chosen to play at a club I couldn't have seen them) last year and I was impressed not only with their music but with the fact that Ronan Harris actually had a sense of humour. That's kinda a rare thing for industrial/whatever (he says they're industrial and I trust his judgement) musicians to admit to having. In my experience, anyway.

I love VNV Nation, but I'm going to be a picky jerk say they're not technically "industrial", rather "futurepop" ^^ I love "Structure" on Future Perfect.

VnV are amazing. I'm a huge fan of "Joy" from Praise the Fallen.

They are brilliant. 'Beloved' is one of the few songs that actually gives me goosebumps.

Personally, I can't stand them. The clubs that I used to go to would play their songs over and over again. Then there are the VNV Nation clone bands. I honestly cannot tell one from the other. I have no problem with other people liking them but I find them to be too repetitive and boring. *ducks from thrown stones*

I really do like them, but I agree they are overplayed.
Recently they have almost reinvented themselves, but there were years of only hearing Joy, Honour and Darkangel in clubs which made me stop listening to them for a while in the middle.
I have seen them 5 times as they always seem to be on the lineup for any UK event. They are good live, but pretty much the same every time so we walked off to find beer last time they were playing.
This post makes it sound like I am down on them, I am a big fan, I just think they are overexposed (especially in rock clubs, when they decide to branch out they play two 'goth' songs and one is inevitably by VNV).
That said, GO RONAN! I hope VNV keep putting out classic tracks for us to boogie to

i'm amazed at how much i've recently noticed that song (the paint it black cover) floating around the internet labelled as being done by vnv nation. it's not. it's done by SFL.
vnv nation are a far better band.

My favorite VNV songs are Further, Kingdom, and Airships. They're dark, but at the same time kind of inspiring, almost humanist, like everything will be okay in the end because human strength will perservere. That's the kind of future I like to imagine.

Hallo!
