Short gothic hair?
I just started high school, and although it wasn't a problem before, it IS a MAJOR problem now. I used to keep my hair straightened 24/7 (i used alot of conditioners) and it basically had a generic long-haired emo look to it. Say what you will about emo hair, i think it looked good for my face, since i have a long face.
Well, now that i have tennis after school for the team-practice, my hair is just preventing me from seeing ANYTHING. My school is closer to the beach than my house, so it is VERY windy, and unfortunately, my hair cannot be tamed by headbands or hats.
So, is there any form of short, gothic hair?
I was thinking of having the front portion of my hair spiked, and having a shorter version of an emo-swoop in the bang area.
Thoughts?

Oh and just for the record, i have dyed black hair that (after a few months) fades to a very dark brown, a pale face that i WILL try to keep pale. I have a somewhat long face, or at least i think so.

Well you could let it grow long then tie it up and use bobby pins to hold your bangs. Other than cutting it you could cut it in short layers in the back then let it a bit long in the front and then get side bangs.

you could cut it kinda short and spike it up leaving short bangs in the front. or cut it short and kinda messy looking.

Y'know, long straight hair will make your face look LONGER, so you fail.

Also, just cut your hair like a Lens Crafter's model. They have great hair. Double also, boys with long hair look greasy and unattractive.

Get yourself a 2 inch pixie cut. Then just make it all messy. Also, a buzzcut actually looks good on those who have a more punk look to them when it comes to their attire. But I bet you try to look like a pretty boy emo and fail at it.

That's one of my favourite pictures of him in his "yoof " There's another rather fetching one lurking about the web of him lying in some leaves ...ohmy...

Short and messy like suggested here can kind of work, but it'll always keep that cheap no-effort feel to it. It's not very distinctive.
If you've got the time, growing it long enough to tie back when needed gives you plenty of options when the elastic can come out. S'difficult to tell what'll go with your face specifically without a picture.
