Acholics, drunkards, and boozers I need you help.
So I recieved a bottle of london gin recently and I've never drinking gin before. Usually I'm a scotch type of guy, but anyways, what goes well with mixing gin? I don't really want to drink it straight, I don't trust it, and I don't have tonic water.

You could try a Singapore sling, Alabama slammer, or Long Island ice tea, anything else with gin is pretty much icky.

Here's a list of Gin drink recipes.
Solumina's suggestions are solid.
An Ocean Dream or a Holiday Sunset would be good. The cranberry juice really cuts back the taste of the gin.
I used to be a Tanqueray & Tonic drinker ... and then one day (it was literally overnight because I went to the bar nearly every day in those days) my taste buds turned, and the drink started smelling like pine needles and gin started tasting like paint thinner to me. Haven't been interested in a gin and tonic since. But the cranberry juice and gin drinks still work for me.

Yeah, well, if you can get past the taste long enough to drink a bunch of that shit, you won't care any longer. Hell, it'll probably taste halfway okay after a bit.

Yeah, sorry for the typos. I decided to keep all of them, because I felt it was funny at the time. Not so much anymore. Anyways, it isn't getting much better, but it's there and someone needs to drink it.

Cool! Never look a gift bottle of gin in the mouth, eh?
Well, I have nothing on hand to drink. Er, well, I'd rather go to bed than try to get started on a beer buzz at this point. So, carry on.

@Murder -
A couple drops of vermouth is all you need. Mix it and pour it over shaved ice.

This. If it's good shit, don't ruin it with yesterday's OJ for godsakes, that shit makes me weep. If you have lime, rub around the rim and squeeze in, then just drink as is.

If you don't like gin... don't drink it.... give it to me
On a serious note, if you don't have any tonic water and lemon juice, my second choice to go with gin is cranberry juice.

Yeah, I was bitching a bit too much. I should never complain of free alcohol. I ended up squirting in lime juice, that took of the edge to the taste a bit. Couldn't figure out how to suppress the pine wood smell, though. Ended in me just dealing with it.
