happy gnet bday to me (sort of)

i reposted my intro around this time last year because i'd been inactive for a while. i want to repost my intro again because it's been another year of on again off again activity around here for me and i'm also not sleepy yet so here we go again my macabre friends...

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I am a wife, mom to one human girl, student of veterinary technology and at-home zoo keeper. We have 3 cats, 1 big dog, 1 messy and loud bird, and 2 tanks of fish. I enjoy photography, socializing, being with my loved ones, and avoiding being a responsible adult whenever possible.

2. Where are you from?
Born and raised in Southern California and as an adult have been all over the place.

3. Who is your favorite author?
Not so much into specific authors these days, more so the genres of fiction, sci-fi, and fantasy.

4. What are your favorite films?
Can't think of a favorite film right now.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Franz Schubert's Ave Maria and Pachelbel's Canon in D while in Church and the reception would have other selections from various time frames and genres.

6. At your funeral?
Moonlight Sonata and Fur Elise by Beethoven. Some modern era stuff too. Most funerals I've been to haven't been filled with music though. The memorial Mass usually needs to stick to Church designated hymns or carefully selected secular songs.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I don't want to die, at least any time soon.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
I like the idea of laying on a big marble slab wearing a velvet and lace dress and holding a Rosary or Cross for my wake + viewing, then just dump me in the ground, naked, wrapped in a big bit of linen or something else which is a natural material and will decompose right along with me.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
A fishnet or lace top, my cat hat, and big boots make everything epic!

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
People didn't expect me to be responsible!

11. What's your favorite band?
The same old stuff as always- The Cure, Nick Cave + the Bad Seeds, Sisters of Mercy as far as goth stuff goes. In the non-Goth stuff I've been exploring *gasp and choke* hip hop collaborations lately!

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I'm 25% complete with my total AA program for veterinary technology.

13. Why did you join?
i like spooky stuff. it's getting close to Halloween. seemed like a good idea

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
if you can't tell by now then may the Higher Powers help you!

I should do something similar as my 5 year Gnet anniversary was last August.
Meh.

Don't worry about it HP. I just have too much procrastination on my hands. And borderline insomnia.

Happy anniversary!

Also, good idea to do the reintro. Usually I don't really dig them but I think it kinda makes sense to do them on your anniversary, especially after a few years. I might do it this way too.

Thanks Saya!

I think it's neat to go back and see how answers to the questions change over the years. Initially I didn't really want to acknowledge the non-Goth culture parts of myself on here but now that I've seen how much non-Gothiness is present here, I'm more comfortable doing so.
