Cof covered Sisters of mercy.

Holy crap people...Cradle of filth did a cover of a Sisters of mercy song.

http://www.cradleoffilth.com/cof/audio/cry.mp3

In my opinion, they completly massacred it...The original 'no time to cry' is the best.

Please don't tell me you didn't know about that until now. Soon I'll see a topic "Manson covered Depeche Mode"

Admittedly, I've never really liked the Sisters of Mercy, as I much prefer Siouxsie and the Banshees, but I still agree that CoF should probably never have recorded a cover version of this song. I seriously dislike it.

Black metal covers of non-black metal songs are always horrible. Cradle of Filth ruined 'Death Comes Ripping' and 'Halloween II' by the Misfits and some bad female fronted black metal band BUTCHERED 'Bela Lugosi's Dead'. Black Metal needs to be put in time-out untill it can learn to keep it's hands to itself.

Technically, Cradle of Filth isn't actually black metal; though I do have no love for either the band or the genre.

Anyways, the cover is terrible and I am not surprised. I've already heard their screeching remake of one of the few Iron Maiden songs I enjoy.

Is that legal? I think not. Although I have no problem with cof personally but to remake something of The Sisters just unaceptiable to me. It is like when NIN tried to cover Bauhaus. WRONG! I'm suprised I haven't heard of this before, but ofcourse not everyone is a die-hard cof kid.

I agree. Sisters of Mercy is classic as they are. Timeless i dare say =)

And quite personally, half-assed excuses for musicians such as Cradle of Filth - whos frontman among the others can't stop shooting up with heroin long enough to produce a decent track for their fans should have no right to play music at all. Run on sentence as it was it was accurate. Sorry if that offends anyone but i just can't have any respect for bands like that.

That song just made my ears bleed 0_0 No, no it just doesn't work. Dani's 'devil inhaling helium' screeching plus the awful musical mess backing it up, is a recipie for a bad song.

Sorry to offend, but C.O.F butchered a great song there.
