My Darkest Desire

There is a darkness in me
Which I cannot comprehend
There is an evil in me
Which I cannot understand

The world scorns me
Ever since the darkness has taken me
Residing in my very soul
Tainting and corrupting it
With the darkest desire

Lust Pain and Hatred
They appeal to my deepest instincts
Blood Death and Sex
How they fulfill
My darkest desire

Pierced flesh and rotting meat
Dripping blood where the shadows meet
Great is the lust that consumes me
Eating at my body
With the darkest desire

I feel the raised bumps of healed wounds
Now torn anew by raging anger
Hatred enshrouding my mind
Threatening to engulf me
With my darkest desire

Digging the hooks into my pale soft flesh
Where metal meets bone and muscles tear
Shredding my skin and sending pain
Through my body burning
With the darkest desire

Pinching my battered skin with weak trembling fingers
I draw the fluids of crimson
Between dry cracked lips
Sucking out the sweet warm blood
Fulfilling my darkest desire

Filled with an insatiable hunger
I dig into my face with bare hands
Tearing bits of flesh from where they stand
And feasting on the juicy meat
Laughing at myself with the darkest desire

Children screaming and parents staring
With eyes widened in utter terror
For glimpsed they have at my bloodied body
Scarred and torn
By my darkest desire

I look across the wind-swept fields
Peering up at the stormy sky
Watching the shreds of torn flesh
Flutter in the wind
A result of the darkest desire

They remind me of days gone by
When cut I would my tender flesh
Raw and bloody
Sawing into the skin
With my darkest desire

Finally the winds of change have gone
And the old wounds disappear
Leaving my blood-soaked body
Shivering in the cold dark winter
A consequence of my darkest desire

I stare down at myself
Tears trickle down my face
And leaving my blood-encrusted blade behind
I prepared myself to die
My darkest desire still in mind

[Possessed by a dark evil, a young man turns into a bloodthirsty vampire who feeds on his own body until he finally dies.]

Comments on my poem please, I'm very new to poetry!

Bleh, too much of a Spooky Kid. That's not a good thing. And no, a Spooky Kid is not spooky.

Means it's the kind of stereotypical poetry that uninformed people expect goths to write... It's trying so hard to be a vampire/goth/satanic story that it's closer to a parody. Kudos for the effort & time you put into it though, I give up poems after about four stanzas, lol.
