pain and endorphins
Whats your opinion on self inflicted pain?
I have this really bad cavity, and everytime I pick with it I want to burst
into laughter, i've never done anything like this before. I have a dentist appointment
on Monday though, so not for too long.

Okay yesterday I was eating some gummybears, they were real chewy so it got stuck and when I pulled it out, the tooth loosened.
Im not much for it either, but I know alot of others are, and I thought it was an interesting topic.(the way that it can release certain chemicals)

Um, some pain can make you laugh. I don't know why, but for some reason, some pains can tickle. At least some do with me. As for self inflicted pain, I was into that, but not anymore. It can be ahrmful in more than one way, to you, and others.

Yeah, some pain can be like that. I've had the same thing happen. I dunno, maybe something between our nerve endings and our brains gets fired wrong. I don't know. But some pain, really makes me laugh for some reason. Kind of cool I guess.

The entire BDSM lifestyle is founded on the idea that some pain is good and fun.

I'm not going to hijack the thread into talking about BDSM, but I will say that it doesn't have to involve a partner. People can masturbate in such a way as to involve a kink or pain play. Auto-erotic asphyxiation is an example of this, although that doesn't neccesarily involve pain.
The point of my prior post was not to say that Anorexiclipgloss was talking about BDSM, but that pain can sometimes be a fun and pleasurable thing. I used the existance of BDSM as an example of this fact.
You're 14. Why the hell do you have an opinion about BDSM?! Go and finish your homework.

I didn't state that you have no right to an opinion, I asked Why you have an opinion on BDSM at your age.
I didn't realise that the right to holding an opinion relied on being an American citizen. I suppose that it would indeed explain a lot about the current state of the planet if that were true.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, let's be nice now folks. No reason to rip others heads off. Now, back on topic.
Self inflicted pain, like cutting, isn't necessarily the best thing in the world to do. It can be harmful in more than a physical way, and it can be ahrmful to others if they know you are doing it. But if it's funny pain, like maybe wiggling a tooth around, (for some reason I find that funny) then it's not all bad. You just kind of have to be aware of what kind of self inflicted pain you are talking about, or performing in one's self.

I know that there were enough intelligent comments to this but I just have to say, no, lets start an argument about it becuase this is just disgusting.
You are indeed, as it was said, entitled to nothing just becuase you live in America. America's image as the "free country" has changed a great deal lately, I would like to remind you of this. You should now be even more careful of what you say as not to make the impression of the ignorant and thinking-he/she-is-number-one-becuase-he/she-is-American individual that the rest of the world (possibly wrongly) seems to see all American's as.
So far you have justified this impression. I only wish you to open your eyes sometime and see that the "we live in a free country" and "we are the most democratic and powerful and fair" that one gets injested into one's head from an early age in American schools ( as I remember it from the time I was there) is just sad.
I hope I have offended no one else and must ask for no flaming for trying to turn this into a politics thread.
