Since you were kind enough to reply to my intro post, I'll do the same! And I'd like to add you have great taste when it comes to movies and music. "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya, you kill my father...prepare to die!" "Nothing? Nothing, nothing tra la la!" Anyways, welcome to this little dark corner of the web, and enjoy! People seem to be real friendly and don't bite unless asked. Heh. Later!
PS: Congrats on the novel, where can I get a copy? Reading is my biggerst hobby after sleeping.

It's not published yet. It's "finished" as in it is finally on paper instead of swimming around in my head. I need to do a bit of editing, and hopefully by New Year's it will be ready to be sent to publishers. If anyone decides to actually publish it, I'll let ya know...cuz I will be announcing that to anyone and everyone that crosses my path!!!

Welcome Dark Wolf, by your preferences, I assume your novel is a fantasy novel. Is it like a Harry Potter kind of fantasy? Or is a blend of fantasy and darker horror? By the way, I also like your tastes in literature , I also like Harry Potter, along with millions of preteens and adolescents. Harry Potter is crazy, I even heard they had a school in England based on Harry Potter.
Anyways looking forward to reading some of your literature, and again welcome

It is more like a Holly Black type story with faerie creatures in a modern day setting. It is still fantasy, but with a modern-day twist. I liked her idea of putting imaginary creatures in the here-and-now and I just ran with it. A lot of is still in an area untouched (for the most part) by humans, but they venture out into our world and have to adjust to technology and such. It was actually very fun to write.

Nice, that kind of fantasy is usually the very fun to write, as you said.
How did you find a relatively reasonable way that humans can interact with the faeries, since drugs were already used in Holly Black's stories? Just curious.

Actually, there is very little human interaction. The main characters are all Fae creatures. The few humans they did interact with in the story the Fae chose to show themselves to while they were in glamored form. So there wasn't really any trick necessary to have them interact. The humans had no clue they were dealing with Fae. It was mostly the Fae using the humans for their own purposes and never needing to expose themselves for what they were.

Just keep writing...the best advice I can give you is to boot your inner-critic out the door and lock the door behind it so it can't get back in. Just write to finish what you have swimming around in your head and worry about the editing when you are finished.

That's good advice, Dark Wolf.
The fae using humans for their own purposes. Interesting...
What audience are you aiming for?

Probably young adult with a cross-over into adults who like a (hopefully) good fantasy story...

Usually fantasy becomes intwined with action when you aim for the young adult/adult audience. I haven't read your story, even though I would like to since the premise is intriguing. But it sounds like there is no antagonist in the story, unless the humans are indirectly involved somehow.

The antagonists are rogue Fae and members of the Unseelie Court. Humans would not be a problem or a challenge for them, therefore, they are irrelevant and dispensable.

That sounds amazing!!! I skipped school for most of 2nd and 3rd grade to go to the library... Reading is one of my greatest passions. Your book sounds like it's right up my alley. Please please please let us know when it's published.
