Question Hair, oh god hair...

Umm, well now, I have the minor issue of having just dyed my hair red... well nto just a few months back and now of course I'm bored *dramatic sigh* and my girlfriend and I have some majour events coming up, and I'm trying to grow my hair out... because I had an unfortunante incedent with hair boredom and chopping my hair off, despite the knowledge that as a rule I dress like a victorian fruit cake
(Exhibit A: http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...7/DSC09598.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...7/DSC09583.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...7/DSC09567.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...DSC09564-1.jpg) now having recently found out that my tempature is cool... not that i have a bloody clue what it means, I realize that the red is actually making my freckles... look more freckley *curses scottish/sweadish/german heritage and inadaquite nauture of all sunscreen* so I was wondering other than black (because I just did black, and I have hair ADD) if anyone could suggest a blue based color that I wouldn't need to bleach the hell out of my hair to get to. Please excuse my spelling, it's quite cold, and rather difficult to type when one is developing frost bite

Hello again Miss Lane. I confess I cannot advise you in hair treatments, but I just wanted to compliment you on your photos, you look fabulous! Please post them also in the "Picture thread", so others (who may not care about hair and thus never read this post of yours revealing your fabulous self) may appreciate your gracing this site with your new presence. Oh, and perhaps a hot bowl of soup will warm you up?

Cheers

Yeah, lovely pictures =) As for the colour, I'm a winter/ cool too, and have discovered that there are lovely, cool shades of red that go more into copper colours which look wonderful. Apart from that, ever tried doing something like blue or purple?

Thank you, I've never done blue or purple, and I'm rather desperate to try, but I doubt my hairdresser has blue on hand, and I've never coloured my own hair

i would suggest a purple over the red you have now, that would look great.

I'm in the process of changing my dreadlocks color. My choices are either black and white or black with a dark, midnight blue.

I think you would pull the blue off well, although I think you look amazing with the red.

thank you, any tips for DIY unnautraul colors? As I said I have a punk rock hairdresser who I love, and trust with my life, however she doesn't have anything more unnautraul than fire engine red...and blue flatters me more... I think, so umm, how do I do this, and how hard is it?

that has one way of doing it...

you could just put a light blue right over the redish you have now and that would look cool, done it to myself several times and it makes a cool like 2-tone blueish

I would have to say you look quite pretty in your photos and I do not see why you must color your hair. If you do find you have hair ADD (such as me) I find that using temporary hair color is useful, because it covers my black and I can change my hair color with my outfit. I hope this is useful.

But you do look quite wonderous in your pictures darling.
