Making your lips look bigger
I love wearing bright red lipstick, and my lips aren't thin however I know that if I made them look just a bit bigger they would look even better. Are there any ways to do that with the red lipstick at hand?

a gloss over them would work well (petroleum jelly works well too)

If you have anything that can lighten the lipstick (white eyeliner, concealer), do this:
Put petroleum jelly or gloss on your lips and look in the mirror.
Make a mental note of where the shine happens.
Remove the shiny stuff and do your lipstick as normal.
Wherever you notice there was shine from before, put on a tiny bit of concealer and blend it very well.
That should give you the illusion of fuller lips. This will take a bit of practice before it's done perfectly, but it's not difficult to get the hang of.
Of course, there's the alternate of using liner and going outside of your natural lipline and then filling that in with the lippy, but THAT takes skill I can't advise you on...

You could also use this rosebud lip balm thing that the celebrities swear to
Using lipliner to make your lips look fuller is not that hard, really. Find a lipliner that's one shade darker than your lipstick and line your lips with it along the natural edge of your lips (any more and you'll look like a clown). Then apply lipstick, blot, apply the lipstick again, blot and, if you feel like it, apply a little lipgloss (which should stick now if you've done the previous steps correctly).
Edit: Oh, and whatever you do, line your lips in _red_, do not use a black liner...

My friend uses this stuff from Victoria's Secret that's a lip gloss to go over the lipstick and it makes your lips bigger. She has pretty "Ghetto" lips (as they would say here) so it must be working.

Ha ha ha. That would have been VERY scary indeed. The guy I am dating now is sort of "alternative" I guess you could call him. Those children would be MUCH less scary.
Ha ha.

Iv been wondering about this too, i have a pretty thin upper lip. I have never really tried out using lipstick before. I have black lipstick, but my parents always get angry when i use it, adn so far i havn't found a red that looks good on me yet, so im still searching. Um..i remember seeing something in the bath and body shop, this lipgloss thats supposed to make your lips look fuller, something to do with collagen, but it was uber expensive, like everything else they have in there.
Ghetto goth...now THATS a riot..
