I'm scared...
I'm not sure whether this topic goes here, or in general, or in shill. So I just put it here.
In any case, I was very scared today. You know those rims for cars that spin on their own? I HATE those things! However, today I say them on a car with a pair of old people in them. And by "old," I mean in their 70s. I had the opportunity to ask them why they had them. The response... "Because they're cool."
My opinion of society has dropped about three notches. And since my opinion of society was four notches about zero, that's a bad thing. From my perspective, anyways.

You know what's funny? When I see those things on a car with some cool dudes behind the wheel, I roll my eyes. But when you tell me about those old folks doing it, I want to shake their hands.

Why does it bother you that an elderly couple are enjoying their car...?
They think they're cool, so they got them.

It's not so much that it bothers me that some old people actually bought those things, it's just, well, have you ever seen an old man wearing his pants so that they're practically falling off his ass and saying things like "Yo yo waddup?" Seeing this kinda brought that image to mind.
Also, I was very drunk and over-reacting when I posted this topic...

And you type quite well for being very drunk.

Ha ha, I would love to meet them.
Once a woman who looked to be in her late 40's early 50's was driving in my neighborhood and she was driving a mini van and she had on full blast this rap music, just like you see the ghetto kids doing in their cool cars. Except she was older and she was driving a mini van. It was pretty cool in my opinion.

Sadly, that's not a good thing. It's a result of getting drunk way too often.

Hmm. So you are complaining that an elderly couple that you don't know doing something that would bring themselves a few laughs is detrimental to society with one breath and yet you admit that you get drunk so often that your typing skills are as good as they are sober but see no problem with that?
Strange value system.
Anyways, I nursed a woman who was in her 90's and had a tattoo on her shoulder, when I asked her about it she told me that her husband had been a sailor and ever since she met him and saw his tattoo's before they were married she had wanted one... so she bought herself one for her 90th birthday.
I thought that it was fantastic.

And who ever said that I see no problem with that? Note the first sentence... "Sadly, that's not a good thing." I fuck up. Everyone does. But just because I fuck up from time to time does not mean that I don't have the right to become annoyed (to say the least) by seeing things that I dislike. Like spinner rims.

I saw a busted up, old mini-bus with spinners on it. It was classic!

my DAD loves those rims. ( age 57, painful white not-so-gracfully aged hippie holdover) He gets SO excited every time he sees them. But I don't think he relized their association with hiphop, he just likes them. They'd be great on his old piece of shit beater pickup.
My 14 year old nephew has also taught him to say the phrase "I couldn't because I was busy doing nolly pop shove it's," which apparently is some fancy skateboarding manuver. All the kids get a kick out of it.
He also has started a painfully frequent habit of refering to himself as "the O.G." I have no idea where he got that one. I go all salted slug every time he does it though.
Ah good ol' hippie dad. Very amusing in the home, but not fit to be seen with in public. He definatly makes a good novelty act at christmas.
Old people being anacronistic is always amusing. Take it from someone who is related to one.
