Legend of Zelda

I love this game series but I haven't found any threads about it, so I decided to make one. The Zelda series has had a very long run, starting on the original nes and now at the Twilight Princess/Phantom Hourglass.(two different games, I just am really not sure which one came first.) I'm almost out of games to play in this series and I must say, roms are my friends. I really hope Nintendo keeps this series alive a bit longer. I would say that this series is the equivilent of the Final Fantasy series. So, that being said, what are all of your opinions on the series, what are your favorite games in the series, etc... edit: I just found a thread that's a few pages back but hey, why not make a new one?

I'm a Zelda fan, but comparing it to Final Fantasy seems like comparing apples and oranges to me.

I'm simply comparing them based on popularity.

You HAVE TO play Y's: Ark of Napishtim. It's like SNES Zelda only everything is better. You'll love it. I do.

Yeah, the Y's series is pretty good. I think like the Zelda games even better, though. I don't get the comparison with Final Fantasy, but I definitely share your love for the series! Ocarina of Time was very possibly the best game I have played since I was a child.

Grew up playing Ledgend of Zelda on super nintendo and still love it. My favorite is The Ocarina of time. I only keep my nintendo 64 just to play it.

Crappy! Nobody told my that Phantom Hourglass was a DS game. Not cool! I guess I'll have to play Twilight Princess (again).

Comparing fan bases, yes, I'd say Zelda is very much FF's rival. I love mostly every Zelda game I've played... although I'm not fond of the Wind Waker storyline that many of the games are continuing. OoT is my favorite of the series.

Sorry about that; I actually agree with the fan base comparison.

On another note, does anyone else think that Twilight Princess was a tad easier than most of the other games?

You could always look up a walk-through.

OoT will always hold a very special place in my heart.

You can get it for the gamecube, I think. I'm not sure how though, since it was a special edition disk of some sort...

Couldn't have been easier than Wind Waker, which was a breeze. But it wasn't THAT tough either.

I think you're thinking of Majora's Mask. You're probably talking about this cat, right? That's Link when he's cursed into the form of a Deku scrub.

The Legend of Zelda is my favorite game series. Ever. I've been writing backstory and fiction for the Ocarina of Time game since I was nine years old. There is just so much unexplained lore that begs to be written about...I love every bit of it. I can't wait till I can afford Twilight Princess. Until then...I feel the desperate need to go play through Ocarina of Time again.
