"Rarity from the Hollow draws the reader into the life of rural Appalachia, a vivid, living world -- a perfect balance of detail and storytelling. Robert Eggleton is a very competent writer that builds strong, multi-leveled characters. The themes of sexual abuse in Rarity are both uncomfortable and important and handled well."
