Urgent

I feel that this is urgent. There are two preppy girls in my school who have found out that I am a member of this site. If two girls named Laila and Lorie log on to this site, please ban them. They are trolls out to destroy me and the Gothic community. Thank you for your time.

Awwweee, that's so cute. Two little girls think they can destroy something bigger than them.

Next time you see them, give them a bat lollie and some pumpkin cookies and tell them that Kontan said they're adorable.

Okay..I'll take a minute to lighten up and keep that into perspective. It was a heat of the moment announcement. I'll definitely give them cookies...then their boyfriends can break up with them.

I love you, Aaroneet.

You can't really destroy something like goth.

That would be like trying to destroy certain personality types.

Chill, man. This isn't a big deal. We get new trolls all the time. We can just ignore them.

Wow...you should wish them luck. Seeing as how the Goth movement has been around for roughly 30 years and has survived without a hitch, I would be extremely surprised if a couple of preppy school girls could accomplish what entire church congregations have failed.

If they are trolls, we will ban them. If they are not, we will educate them.

Like KontanKarite says, Goth is a way of life, so unless they plan to seek out and kill us all, we have nothing to worry about.

Even if they kill us all we the goths shall rise again in a new form. We were first an entire civilization, then we were made of stone, now we are all of that and more. They can never kill us, evolution would never allow it.

You know if you take the term subculture kind of literaly it might be kind of fun, an entire culture where we all live in subs.

I think a couple more trolls here would just be white noise. Maybe a light squeal.

Might I ask where these two pompous douchebags get about thinking they can follow you around like this? What's the story?

We all live in a black submarine, a black submarine, a black submarine . . .

Those two remind me of the girls at my school.
Use a modified 12 Step Program to fix their anti-goth-ness:

Step 1: accept that you're bitches
Step 2: Understand that you are powerless compared to the Gothic subculture
Step 3: Give up
Step 4: If #3 didn't give you a clue, look to yourself and find your faults compared to Goth's sublime awsomness
Step 5: Tell everyone online and off that you are worthless compared to Goth
Step 6: Get ready for a beating from the great Goth
Step 7: Beg for mercy
Step 8: Make a list of Gothic people you've been shitty to, and grovel at their feet for a bit
Step 9: Say sorry and run for you worthless existance
Step 10: Pick yourself apart in front of the mirror, find all blemishes and cry
Step 11: Ask a Goth to teach you of their ways
Step 12: Spread the greatness of Goth to others then mesh once again into your pink frilly clique of doom

That was hilarious, raggedyanne. Clockwork, the story is that I was using my school computers log on to this site (stupid me, I admit it). These two "pompous douchebags" thought that it would be cute to stare aimlessly at my computer to see what the school "weirdo" looks at after school hours. They found this site. I quickly diverted my eyes to look towards them, to which I asked, "Don't you have something to do?" They had the timerity to look on with their computer. "Gothic.net...what's that," they asked dumb foundedly. The two bubblegum heads looked on. Thinking that they would spam the site, saying how "gay" it was, I sent out the afformentioned "URGENT" note. I was in a minute amount of trouble for logging on to this site on school grounds anyway, but it would have been nothing compared to the humiliation of introducing these trolls onto the site.

I may be tasteless and immature, I admit. I am also 14 and bored. I too face the uninformed prep problem. My friend who takes part in AA helped me put together the list after we encountered similar reactions when overheard discussing the site.

Your 'list' is a misrepresentation of - and an insult to - the subculture for those who actually take it seriously.

What if it was labelled as a parody or satire- would it still be insulting? Or is it insulting because you don't think that there was enough thought or living years put into it to be parody or satire?

Honest question, not being pissy.

I wouldn't say it was insulting so much as it was just embarrassing to read.

No offense though, raggedyanne, despite this clear shot at you.
