Weird thread got me thinking, Whats you fav.....?
Okay, some of you might have read that I am a name addict. I belong to a website for other people who share my addiction and for people who want help on naming their baby. (I know, I am a big geek, but it's actually fun and interesting) There was recently a thread on "gothic names". I opened it, and I was appalled. Since this is a goth oriented forum, I thought I would ask what your favorite names are. I'm almost positive that you guys don't buy into the whole Cliqued goth names, but I'm really interested in your responses. I'll post mine in a little bit, I have to copy and paste.

Some of my favorites:
Evangelynn (it's pretty, and it leaves a ton of nickname possibilities so no matter what the chick's personality ends up like, the name will suit her)
Ayeesha (from the Egyptian word for "life")
Artemis
Michaela (with the German pronunciation, Me-kah-ay-la)
Kay (for a boy)
Alice
Edward

I would mostly name them for people I loved;
My choice right now, for a boy, would be Richard. My choice for a girl would be Barbara. I know, I'm very boring...
Another choice would be Lillian.

Gothy names huh? Well let's see....
Dante, Damian, Lucius, Troy (for a girl), Artesia, Acacia
Those all sound pretty gothy to me. But it's definitely not what I'm going to be naming my future children. I've already got their names picked out.

Troy....on a girl..oh no!! that would be truly tragic.
Anyway, I have a guilty pleasure list too, lol. My favorite guilty pleasure right now is Calixta Nimue (ca-lix-ta Nim-oo-ay) (Nimue is from the Arthurian Legend's) I have my kids names all picked out too.
Ruby Jeanne - My grandmother's and great grandmother's name. plus, Jeanne is my middle name and my moms middle name too. (pronounced like Jean)
Felicity Susannah - Felicity has been my fav since I was 8 and Susannah is for his mom, susan.
Ciaran James - Ciaran is the traditional Irish spelling for Kieran (pronounced Keer-an), James is a family name.

Albeit not goth, I want to name my daughter Paola. I haven't met a Paola that isn't from prettier than average to downright model pretty.
But it seems to only apply to Spanish-speaking people. There's something about names and their relation to the spoken language that makes some better than others. I wouldn't be as attractive if I were named Earl or Peter, for example.
For girl names, I like Evangeline, Emily, I particularly find Alice the gothiest of all, and Jillian, of course. :P

My dad's a Christian minister and he approves of the name, so I guess it really depends.
Also, we live in the South in the Bible Belt area.
Joy, eh?

He is to an extent. He's gotten rather upset with me for "being goth". But then he took me out to buy new clothes and let me get deep shades of red and purple skirts. He said I an be goth in his house as long as I don't wear all black to the church he's moving us to preach at. Anywhere else is ok. xD
I find this kind of weird, but I just have to remember he's trying to look out for my well-being and for the safety of his job once we move to Jacksonville.
His favourite holiday is Halloween. He's the one who taught me to be outrageous with my costume and decorating sense.

I ADORE Persephone as well. But again, Brandon would never let me use it, plus, I don't know how it would fly in real life. Penelope is another love of mine, similar, but more usable, lol. Persephone Alessandra is on my guilty pleasure list.
