rare records

I'm going to start a record collection and wondered of any really rare vinyl records to look out for in stores. I'm getting interested in the goth music. Also am into new wave and experimental. I found a small place that sells records nearby and would get something. I think I payed too much money for what I purchased and I'm going to trade them back for something else. I got Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon for 35 dollars and I think I might have been ripped off. But I dont know...the guy seemed to think it was worth more than that because it was in mint condition and one of the first ones sold.
I want to find something rare and cool that I can start my collection with...so also just any tips in general for something I might want to search for. The other two were expensive as well and I ended up spending more than I was going to. I dont know if the guy will let me return them though.

Look for "Press Eject and Give Me the Tape" by Bauhaus. Also (I don't know if it's rare, but) "Twelve Hits From Hell" by the Misfits is damn good.

Anything by Wolf Eyes, or George Gershwin's early stuff.

I'd give anything to have some of Siouxsie and the Banshees' or David Bowie's LP's in my collection... so I'd recommend that if you ever come across something of theirs, buy it.
