Indiana
Hmm I find there's hardly anyone goth here in Indy, either that or I just got the short end of the stick and landed in the wrong part of the dang state. So I guess I'm really posting this to find out an idea of just how many there really are. It would be great if I could get a few people to talk with who aren't half way across the world.

Come to Iowa my dear, the land of emo's and Bosnian Chavs. And the boys who want to look like the Bosnian Chavs but just don't quite have the whole look down.

Depends on :
A ) What part of Ireland you're in.
B ) How fast you can run.

I've never been to Indiana. In fact, I've never even been to that part of the country. Good luck!
You should come to D.C.! There are lots of weird people here, if you know where to look. (They like to hide) (Mainly behind dive bars and in foreign-food shops)

New York City has plenty of weird people.
Vermont has a few.
But you'd have to be in Burlington for that.

I’ve been through Indiana once; it must not have been all that exciting, because I don’t remember half of it. Or it just could be that Indiana reminded me so much of Iowa that I figured I was not missing much.
I agree with Saphyra, You must come to Iowa and visit if for nothing else than to gander at the Chavs and Emos. The Chavs are an interesting species, they’re highly entertaining. Especially when they go into their ‘herding’ mode and run the streets in an attempt to appear cool with their “bom…bom…booom…” mating call along with their mechanical farting displays. Lord almighty how I hate baffles on Chevy Cavaliers.
The Iowan Emo on the other hand, is usually a placid individual. Unless you happen to accidentally get in their way at the local Wal-Mart, then they turn into foaming at the mouth, swearing little twerps.

Miss Happy Cat, you are either near me or Iowa is infested. I need to get out of the city more than once a year.
I had a look at your fractal art, you are very good with them.

Thank you for the compliment on my fractals.
I live only an hour away from Des Moines.
You’re not the only one who needs to get out and away more often. The last time I was in Des Moines was in January.

You have chavs in the US?!!! Are they like ours in the UK?
Do they wear tracksuit bottoms with their socks pulled up over them and a stripy sweatshirt plus the obligatory - cap tipped onto the back of the head outfit ? And listen to hard house, rap and speed garage? Do they ride really really small BMX bikes and propell themselves around on rollerblades like the wheelers from "Return to OZ" whilst abusing anyone in sight for no apparant reason ?
I need to know that we are not alone!

Sadly, I have never been to Indiana. Where I live. there are no goths, or hardly any. So most of my friends are only online.

Hey! Cool. I am 20 mins from Des Moines. It's fair time and dammitall, I missed Alice Cooper tonite.
We get out of town at Christmas to see my family back in the Quad Cities and that's our big travel time for the year.
~~~~~~
My Chavs wear Plaid long shorts, XXL basketball jerseys, quilted black or black and white brocadish ball caps set jauntily upon their skulls, bill turned askew to their right and flash. Loads of flash. Brilliant, super sized faux diamonds in their ears, on necklaces, belt buckles, rings. You need sunglasses to look at them. I almost forgot my favorite part, the socks, white athletic knee socks with the solid color band at the top worn with Converse All Stars. My guys all drive tuners. I call them my shiny boys.
