Hello all!

So I am long time lurker that finally got her ass in gear and decided to register. I am a full time student at the University of Dayton right now. I just moved in yesterday and am starting my second year. My hobbies right now are school and hanging out with my four roomates. We just moved into an amazing apartent on campus that we spent the whole day disinfecting. I am originally from Dayton and haven't felt the need to leave just yet. Although I would love to go to NYU for law school. My favorite author changes on a daily basis. At the moment it is a toss up between Sarah Dessen, Clive Cussler and Sylvia Plath. (I'm a sucker for the cheesy romantic bs sometimes although I hate Nicholas Sparks with a mad passion.) My favorite band also changes daily although I am in love with Cradle of Filth and Siouxisie and the Banshees at the moment. But I do have a weakness for cheesy 80s and 90s pop. I don't usually go all out goth most of the when it comes to clothing because I do attend a Catholic university and don't feel the need to have some of the local priests offering to save my soul on a daily basis. But when we go out I do go all out. Let's see, I think that's about all the basics. I love debating any and all topics and even just talking about nothing for hours.

Catholic University? I didn't know there was such a thing... shows what I know. Ahem...

Welcome. I'm new as well. Sylvia Plath is rad, especially "The Bell Jar." Quite the classic.

Yep there are a few of them. Over herei n south eastern Wisconsin we have Marquette University (it also has a high school) which is a private Catholic College which is quite obviously named after the famous french explorer.

Ah, I see. I would probably feel kind of uncomfortable in one of those, but whatever floats your boat. I'm sort of biased because I plan on attending the Ultimate Hippie Drunk School of Canada after I graduate.

Welcome. Here's hoping you end up liking Siouxsie more than you like Cradle of Filth.

The Colleges don't have a uniform. I've met alot of People from Marquette, all of them therapists, more specificly my therapists. I don't know exactly why soo many of my therapists are from there.

Lol. Well although it's not required, it's sometimes fun to dress up anyway. I love the looks that I get from my classmates. At least my roomates have accepted my style. They no longer raise eyebrows at my black lace corset and floor length skirt when we go out clubbing.

Eh it's just that you don't typically see people dressing up in clothes that arn't convenient to move out of the way of the more "important" parts of the whole clubbing issue. Frankly I can't why people don't like somthing as classic as a corset, unlike the skanked up versions you see people like Tyra Banks wearing that literaly are held together by a thread.
