Hola to all...yep, I'm a newbie
Hi! (to whoever decides to read this). ahhh...mind-rotting internet...isn't it wonderfully disgusting? My eyes continually bleed all over the computer screen...
So... my name on here is black rose ( I would prefer it to be twizted angel but I don't know how to change it now :-( too bad for me) and here are some lines and squiggles that your mind will translate as English and thus letting you know what I am like.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Currently I am in school, which isn't all that bad once you try to ignore all the ignorant people that you despise. I write poetry ( and not the ' I'm just trying to get attention' generic kind of poetry, real poetry that I have been writing since I was eight years old) And I love to cook.
2. Where are you from?
Originally from Southern California but now I live in Hicksville aka Redding
3. Who is your favorite author?
Don't have one (I love books, I just don't have a favorite author)
4. What are your favorite films?
I know this sounds hackneyed, but, The Nightmare Before Christmas (which I liked when it first came out, unlike all the people who obsess over it now and only like it because a few years or so ago companies over-produced TNBC merchandise and people wanted to follow the trend). I like all Tim Burton movies by the way. I also enjoy House on Haunted Hill, Rob Zombie films, Pirates of the Caribbean, Fantasia, Mirrormask, The South Park Movie, and Spirited Away.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
umm...a little bit of everything. except for hip-hop
6. At your funeral?
No music. I'll be too busy humming in my coffin ...
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Peacefully in my sleep as a old woman. But that doesn't mean that I don't have a morbid mind...I can come up with some f*cked up ways to day. For example: Fine fiber glass mixed well in water. Have someone drink it...You can probably figure out the rest...
8. What kind of casket would you want?
Mahogany wood covered in black lace
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Favorite...hmm, anything with lace on it.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Christmas
11. What's your favorite band?
Not going to say right now because people tend to judge too quickly when I mention music that I like.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
Still in high school, but its my last year. My major will be Physiology/anatomy, Chemistry, and Nutrition. I want to be a Dietition.
13. Why did you join?
People on this site seem capable of having intelligent conversations and I am tired of hearing " So..oh my gah...today I like, did this thing with like that one guy...."......grrrr,
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
I hope people have figured out my gender by now...

Unless it's Paris Hilton, we probably won't say anything bad about what you listen to as long as you don't claim that non-goth bands are goth. Knowing your tastes helps us make accurate recommendations.
Welcome, btw.

No worries on that one. Paris Hilton is horrible. Thanks for the reassurance, I feel I can safely mention music that I like. I don't really know any goth bands, and my knowledge of music isn't very wide. There are hundreds of bands that I haven't been introduced to yet so most of the music I listen to is mainstream (except for, dare I say, ICP, Twiztid, Dark Lotus, and that whole bunch), Staind, Korn, System of a Down, Breaking Benjamin, Avenged Sevenfold, A Perfect Circle, Taproot, Three Days Grace, Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Kyo (a french band. I can't understand what they say but the music is insanely beautiful), Classical music, Blue October, Evanescence, Seether, Evans Blue, Bullet for my Valentine, Chevelle, Skillet, Crossfade, Disturbed, Static X, Drowning Pool, Falling Up, Flyleaf, The Fray, The Goo Goo Dolls, Gorillaz, Hawk Nelson, Hinder, Kutless, Jon McLaughlin, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Lost Prophets, Live, Train, Metallica, Mudvayne, Nirvana, The Offspring, Rob Zombie, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Saliva, Sevendust, Seventh day Slumber, Puscifer, Three Doors Down, Weird Al, ....................and thats all I can think of....I know...its alot!!!!!!!!!

Why you were afraid to say you like NIN? A lot of us likes it too .
Check The Sisters of Mercy or Clan of Xymox .
Wellcome :-)

through many experiences I've become afraid to mention music that I listen to. Some people tend to be too judgemental. Its not that I care what they think, it just gets annoying when people go "eww..you listen to that!" ....

Are you on some sort of seditive or is that just your way of saying you had a bit too much to drink? Welcome

Welcome.
You seem to be a mighty interesting person, and as such you are forbidden to leave.:P
Also you like A Perfect Circle, which (in my opinion) can't be a bad thing.

Woohoo! I thought people would really bag on me for listening to ICP, but I've been proven otherwise. :-)

Prescribed sedative. I do not drink alcohol, and haven't for over 15 years. The last time I drank was September 15, 1992, a can of Coors beer.

Ah you see that's the problem, your last beer was a Coors, if it was a Miller beer it wouldn't have been your last

I've drank Miller. I've drank it all. Heinekins, Dos Equis, Coronas with Lime and Coors were my regulars, but Germany's Doppleboch beers and Pilsner Urquelle were the best.
Sorry to hijack this thread into a beer discussion.

Thank you for being honest that those bands are mainstream; that seems to be a problem here. You may want to check out KMFDM (get the Angst and Nihil albums), Ministry (get the Twitch album), Das Ich, Skinny Puppy, and Birmingham 6; you'll probably like all of them.
Welcome to the boards.
