My name is Ashlee.
Im for the uptight state of cali.
I like to sing, write poems, and play video games.
I just turned 16 on Oct. 6th.
Im a junior in High School.
I listen to techno/emo/classic/punk/alternative music.
I hate Drama.
I LOVE boys and im curious about girls.
Im very unique in a weird and good way.

For one thing we do have a premade set of questions. For another why has an emo decided to grace our decidedly gothic forum? Finaly I hope you have some flame retardant clothing just in case.

Where have I judged you? I merely made a statement based on fact. You listen to emo music as you have soo clearly stated, that automaticly makes you an emo. It's like how due to the fact that I listen to both goth and new wave/dark wave I am a goth/waver, technecaly speaking. I am disappointed with your response.

It's not a steriotype I never said you cut yourself or anything like that. I think I understand the concept of a steriotype quite well. I merely said you are an emo because you listen to emo music, that is not a steriotype that is a factual classification. If I had said you must cut yourself and cry yourself to sleep every night because you are emo that would be a steriotype. Don't put words in my mouth.

Also I would hardly consider California uptight, it's hard to get more Liberal than California. Also seeing as how this is a goth forum you might be advised to sample some of our genres of music, you won't really find anyone here into emo. Stay out of the whining section there is a thread there you won't like.

You'll probably want to look around the music forums, as you'll find most people here don't listen to those primarily. I also get the feeling if you use the term "alternative music" as a genre, you'll want to hunt down a few threads there where we discussed that.
I'm glad you dislike drama. Relax, open up a little; brevity on the internet is often misinterpreted as hostility, which I hope isn't your intention.

Renatus, I really am sick of you playing Label Police and telling everyone whether they are goth or emo or whatever. Most of us can figure out where people's preferences lie without your help, and your need to put everyone in neat little check boxes is really irritating. For instance, you call yourself a goth/waver. Now, I listen to the following genres: goth, deathrock, punk, rockabilly, showtunes, and new wave, to name a few. It's like the movie the game, except I somehow doubt if I jumped off a hotel rooftop through the ceiling of the ballroom I'll end up on a big soft pillow like thing. People wonder how people can go crazy well this is how, you simply strip the rules out from under them constantly. It's like pulling the rug from under somone's feet, everytime they try to get up. If you want somone to act differently don't just fucking yell at them and expect them not to get angry.

it all depends on what state you live in. I lived in San Deigo for two years before moving back to Texas, and I have to say that California is a lot more strict than Texas.
biohazard is correct, though. delicti is a good choice for music, but you should check out the label Projekt.
Also, try to learn to ignore some people on forums instead of getting angry at them and starting a flame war.
