Generic Salutations!

Well, as I'm sure was previously guessed, I'm new here... so I suppose I should be a good little girl and answer the prescribed questions... here goes...

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I'm a strange cross between a computer technician and a (terrible) poet/philosopher.

2. Where are you from?
The great white north that is Canada.

3. Who is your favorite author?
I'm a Shakespeare, and Dante junkie. I'm also fond of Poe, Sartre, and Nietzsche. I read more than is healthy, and so this list changes hourly.

4. What are your favorite films?
Never been much of a movie person, though, as I recall, I was captivated by Momento.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I try to avoid thinking about it. Weddings make me nervous for some unfathomable reason.

6. At your funeral?
The End, by the Doors, about a hundred times on repeat, preferably very loudly.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I'd like it to be sudden, but dramatic. Not in my sleep, or a gradual decay. I'd like to experience my death as it's the last thing I get.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
Hmm... cremation is sounding toasty and warm.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
I love my coat beyond any conception of the imagination.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Hmm... I miss... being able to use the swings without people giving you death glares.

11. What's your favorite band?
Bauhaus, Pink Floyd, and the Doors to name a very small selection.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I graduated High School last year, then (stupidly) took a year off to make some money. I still have no idea what my major will be, it's a split between Philosophy and Technology. (They simply don't blend...)

13. Why did you join?
I joined because I'm going stir crazy in my own small hometown. Any friends that I have are off at school. Don't I sound pathetic?

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Female

Savvy?

P.S.
I love tired posting... it makes me seem so very unintelligent

I'm so bad at gender-guessing...

You're very intelligent-sounding! You may just make my brain explode with your intelligent-ness when fully alert. I like pretty much everything you like. Yay! And you're Canadian!

Thank you for welcoming me! I feel suitably and duly welcomed!

And I'm not really that intelligent... I tend to think I am, but more often than not it is merely a healthy dose of disillusionment!

Welcome to g-net. Don't worry about switching majors (although I'd recommend doing a minor in philosophy), the average student actually does it three times before graduating.

Yes Bauhaus and Pink Floyd are good.

Why do people give you death glares when your on a swing? I don't understand why they do that. It happens to me too. LOL. Swings are awesome!!!

You have interesting interests .

I also recommend majoring in a tech field and minoring in Philosophy. Simply because if you enjoy both, tech is the more lucrative field, and will give you the job stability to still pursue Philosophy as a hobby. But take some gen ed classes and get a feel for things first

Welcome. Always glad to see another bookworm. Ditto Delicti and Lucretia on the philosophy-as-minor thing, by the way.

Thank You for all of the welcomes!

The technology thing has always worked for me, despite the fact that number crunching makes my brain ooze uncomfortably...

I'm thinking that I'll do just as is suggested though, only because Technology will probably help me pay for the insane ideas that occasionally fall out of my mind.

My interests usually tend to be very loose and unconnected, it's wierd, but I love them.

And yes, swings are the single greatest place in the playground.
