Smoky goths
Anyone else here smoke besides me? I don't do it in my house or around my younger siblings, but anyway, I was just wondering.

I second that. I need to cut back, though. I'm going through almost a pack a day.

I may start smoking cloves, cause I think they're more delicious than delicious caek.

True goffs only smoke cloves. LOL
I tried to be a smoker a few times, but I could just never get into it. Cigarettes make me sick. I do enjoy the occasional hookah or cigar, however.

I've been cutting back myself, but I have been a long-time clove smoker, preferring them before I even got into the scene.
I'll warn anyone that the whole stories about how they can make you cough up blood are true; that was an unfortunate lack of judgment in college. In moderation, they are still the best.

I love cloves. But I need to quit smoking the regular stuff as well.

I smoke these sometimes... not on a regular basis though. Somehow the nicotine in usual cigarettes don't work on me as advertised, so I do it purely for the taste.
...and what are cloves?

It's this plant that you can smoke that tastes way better (and sweeter) than tobacco. It's also used as a spice. They are rolled in black paper which is where the whole stereotype comes from. Meaning the stereotype that only Goths smoke cloves because it matches their clothing.
XD

Oh, that sounds neat. I know someone who's going to look for those next time he visits the local tobacco-store.

To elaborate, they're not always wrapped in black paper, just the most popular brand.
Also, they're not purely clove, there's tobacco in them as well.

I was about to say "most" are wrapped in black but wasn't sure if I should. Thanks for clarifying.

No. I don't smoke. My parents smoke and I don't like the smell and plus, they are always weezy all the time. I don't really want to be walking around hacking things up and weezy all the time. =/

I smoked for several years, but never too heavily. I quit mainly because my wife did when she got pregnant. Also it's hard to afford a steady habit.
Now, on very rare special occasions, I smoke a clove cigar (I'd take a clove cigarette, but they're illegal here). I'm very much looking forward to my Halloween smoke--a little tribute to the inevitability of death.

I used to smoke for a while. I was quite stressed at the time though and immediately gave up when I sorted things out. I didn't smoke many though. A pack of 20 Malborogh lights or Silk cut silver ( very weak as far as cigs go ) would last me a fortnight! I would only want one when I was feeling a bit low, or I would occasionally have one when on a night out.
I have never tried a clove, I'd like to though, just to know that I have. I can't find them ( like so many things it would seem ) in usual shops, but there is a tobacco shop in the city that sells pipes and whatnot, which I have never been in, so I might try there.

I smoked for over 11 years. I'm trying to quit right now. It's been a bit over a month since my last cigarette.
Of course, I won't say no to pot.

It's not that hard to find them. 7-11 sells Djarums.

I live in the UK we don't have 7-11's . your average Spar/local co-op does not sell them, nor any of the supermarkets either. Like I say, the tobacconists is my only hope.
Funny too, my mother does not know I ever smoked. I have no idea what she would say if she found out, not that it matters , I am 25 and all my family smoke anyway. She'd probably be pissed off and dissapointed I suppose. Still, what she doesn't know eh? ^^

I do sometimes.
More and more, actually.
I have to stop for a week though. I just had oral surgery.

I quit 5 years ago. I'd never go back. I'm one of those evil reformed smokers.
I think that after you've been a smoker for 5+years and then quit (for good), you realize just how disgusting it is (at least that's how I feel about it).
