Stunning temples secretly carved out below ground by 'paranormal' eccentric

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1811

This article was pretty kewl. A secret group of people who built an entire underground world underneath a small town over the course of 16 years - and kept it secret from the public.

Thats pretty amazing.

It also raises the question - if people can do that, what else could they do? I mean, secret societies, cults, etc. do obviously exist. These guys don't seem to have any bad habits - they just wanted to see if they could build this. That being said - if a handful of determined men can build an underground wonder like this - it makes you wonder what other secretive organisations with real money and more followers could accomplish...

I just saw the article. The pictures of the temple are incredible.
You're right, it does make you wonder...

Oh my shit, that's so awesome. It's interesting to see this kind of ambition met and completed in secret.

I say we head to the temple of scientologist's Jesus, aka Tom Cruise's house and dig deep.

That truly is a marvellous idea and one many people i think would wish they couldreplicate but won't because they believe they lack the skills, hmm, who knows I may start my own family temple.

I'm amazed and envious. How I do wish I could create something so amazing. This by far goes beyond typical human creativity. It's like they created a tangible and physical substitute for reality, and is that not the pinnacle for all writers and poets? I'm in awe, I wonder why I have yet to hear about this.

This all kind of reminds me of the Montauk Project.

Incredible, and utterly beautiful. Things like these make we want to get a new passport.
There was a fascinating house built by one man over a period of more than twenty years in the slums of a city- I can't remember where- and this reminds me of it. This is on a granders scale and employed many people and much high quality materials, but the house in the slums just... evolved... over many years, growing bigger and more intricate, gaining staircases and murals and fascinating new murals and structures.

And once there, can we try out Guy Fawkes' plan?

Sounds awesome, I'd like to see that.

We had something like that local, in it's own way. Before the police located it, that is... It was used to grow en masse a certian five-leaved plant.

When I read 'underground tunnels', I was thinking packed dirt and maybe bricklay. Then I clicked the link.

I was certainly not expecting something so breathtakingly beautiful. Sweet Mother, the work and the skill and the obvious love put into those rooms is nothing short of amazing.

(My future house just got some new plans put in it)

That is a truly amazing temple! It's a shame that the temple has been seized to the government and they're not allowed to continue building.

That's truly fucking amazing. Hats off to those who made the complex.

And as far as secret societies go: fuck 'em. They want to control the world, and I'm not convinced that I should give enough of a shit to try to stop them. I'll be dead soon enough, and I've wasted enough of my short life railing about things well beyond my control.

Damn their government for seizing the tunnels and halting the continuation of the tunnels... That sort of thing is what we need around here. That is not just a hobby; that is a passion, and is a beautiful passion, at that. I wanna meditate in those halls soooo badly, or run around in them shouting and screaming... Can anyone else imagine a concert in there? Oh, and how is it lighted? It just takes one person's vision, and the support of those close to that person. Simply amazing... I can't stand the fact that the government seized it....

That was extremely aggravating to me, too. The funny thing is, I have had fantasies of doing something similar, and one thing has always stopped those fantasies from rising to the level of actual life dreams is the certain knowledge that the world would never allow it. I didn't really enjoy having that confirmed, but actually the thing is so beautiful... I don't know. Maybe it's worth it just to have it in the world, even if it's going to be taken from you and controlled by the power structure.
