Bob Dylan
Who else acknowledges that Bob Dylan is the best musician ever?

Actually, a lot of people hate him. that's probably because of his voice.. and how repetitive some of his songs can be.

I voted for the second option, purely because music, in my opinion, is such a nuanced discipline that to presume a single artist could be established as its most proficient practioner is absurd, but I definitely feel Dylan is one of the salient figures in the development of the songs as we know it today. I do regard some of his pieces to be bullshit- "Knocking on Heaven's Door" and "Lay Lady Lay" to name two- but that's ultimately irrelevant as he could have written nothing but Chimes of Freedom and still hold a place as one of the century's most important musicians.

He is fantastic! I mean, if you want to, you can take away the musical portion of it and he is a fantastic poet!

What's wrong with Knockin' on Heaven's Door?

He's a good musician, not the best. I've listened to a couple of his songs, and they're pretty cool. Knockin' on Heaven's Door, is one of the songs I've heard, it's cool, I prefer the GNR version, though.

I appreciate Dylan as a songwriter and all of the impact that he's had, but I don't generally enjoy listening to his music. I feel much the same way about the Beatles.
I often joke that I think David Bowie invented music in 1972.

Yeah. Dylan owns. Hard to get into, but when you do, yes.

"Knockin on Heaven's Door" is the only Dylan song I like. And he made it too damn short!

If someone hasn't heard Masters of Wat, get on with downloading it!
