Good Evening
Hello to you all, my name is Cel, that's with a hard c not a soft c. I am new here, obviously, and just thought that it would be best to get myself out there first and then dive on in.
I am twenty two years old and living in San Antonio, TX. I work for a large grocery store chain, and will be returning to college in January of 2008. I plan to make it all the way through to a degree in Computer Programming.
In my spare time I like to read, I don't really have a favorite genre, I read a little of everything. If I had to pick a favorite modern author it would probably be Dean Koontz or Anton Szandor LaVey depending on if we were discussing fiction or non fiction. Edgar Allen Poe is my all time favorite though. I also really enjoy music and movies as well as video games, I haven't watched tv in close to four years though so on that I am a bit behind.
My favorite genre of music, please don't beat me with a stick, has to be hip hop with music like that of Lacuna Coil or KMFDM coming up a VERY close second. My favorite song of all time and the one I would like to have played were I ever to get married would probably be Kiss from a Rose by Seal because to me the imagery it creates is very Gothic and beautiful.
Movies of course I love horror, always have and always will. I can't get enough of them, other than that action and sports movies as well as suspense and comedy, I don't do the whole chick flick thing often.
What brings me here? Well I guess even though I wouldn't say I am part of the pale makeup and eyeliner wearing goth culture that exists today I am very Gothic at heart, I enjoy the dark side of things much more than the light, the morbid and macabre are fascinating and scintillating to me. I also really enjoy Gothic Literature and feel I will find a good deal of that here on the website itself as well as finding many interesting people whom I can get to know and communicate with.
I will stop rambling now, as this post has gotten rather lengthy. I hope to chat with you guys in the main forums soon.
C

Welcome. It's nice to see a thorough introduction which covers so many aspects of someone's interests, particularly when it's quite well written! I hope you enjoy your time here.

Welcome to the boards!!!
Don't worry, you're music tastes are your own, so who are we to judge?
Well you seem like an interesting person, so I hope you stick around here.

Hey, we want the same wedding song! =D
If you're going to watch just one tv show for the rest of your life, watch Scrubs. Seriously. It might be a sitcom, but it's the most emotional thing I've ever seen on tv (especially an episode called My Screw Up! aka the episode with 'gay chicken'. aand no: I didn't say it because it had gay chicken, that's just something that makes it easier to remember what episode it is, and if anyone unfamiliar with Scrubs are reading this: I'm terribly sorry =/).
Welcome =D

Perkygoth: Deal lol, I love the song Megalomaniac, how about you?
Grandsummon: I will certainly keep that in mind, I don't even own a tv, my roommates do but we don't have cable, so the chances of me watching anything are slim to none. I just find television to be incredibly boring and pointless unless it is like the science channel or something along those lines.
