What I hate.

The thing that I hate are...
1) People who abuse animals.
2) People who abuse there kids!
3) Men who abuse there wives.

My firend found this on someones bio and made me cry and hate all people who would do this to a human. I feel very strongly about what I have just typed.

I am but three,

My eyes are swollen

I cannot see,

I must be stupid

I must be bad,

What else could have made

My daddy so mad?

I wish I were better

I wish I weren't ugly,

Then maybe my mommy

Would still want to hug me.

I can't speak at all

I can't do a wrong

Or else I'm locked up

All the day long

When I awake I'm all alone

The house is dark

My folks aren't home.

When my mommy does come

I'll try and be nice,

So maybe I'll get just

One whipping tonight

Don't make a sound!

I just heard a car

My daddy is back

From Charlie's Bar.

I hear him curse

My name he calls

I press myself

Against the wall.

I try and hide

From his evil eyes

I'm so afraid now

I'm starting to cry.

He finds me weeping

He shouts ugly words,

He says its my fault

That he suffers at work.

He slaps me and hits me

And yells at me more,

I finally get free

And I run for the door.

He's already locked it

And I start to bawl,

He takes me and throws me

Against the hard wall.

I fall to the floor

With my bones nearly broken,

And my daddy continues

With more bad words spoken.

"I'm sorry!", I scream

But its now much too late

His face has been twisted

Into unimaginable hate.

The hurt and the pain

Again and again

Oh please God, have mercy!

Oh please let it end!

And he finally stops

And heads for the door,

While I lay there motionless

Sprawled on the floor.

My name is Sarah

And I am but three,

Tonight my daddy,

Murdered me.

DeathChii: The poem is written to get the message across, as it's more effective, in my opinion, than cold data.

Neverlove: Thanks sweatheart, you just killed the last ounce of chemically induced cheer. It's good to see other teenagers who feel strongly about something that is wrong with the world today. Take that conviction, and anger at what should not be, and go out and do your best to make a difference.

I sympathize with her beliefs.
My loser town has had recent upswings in animal abuse and child killings.
Hey, I'm all for "due process" but some scum deserve the ol' invisible throat strangulation like Darth Vader used to do before he went all warm & fuzzy in ...Jedi.
And while abusive guys do also merit the Vader treatment too, abusive relationships aren't limited to just male-on-female abuse.
Apart from some gals wailing on their guys, there are, I think, a greater number who know how to swing a wounding word or two.
And words can sometimes carry a heavier weight when they hit the psyche.

Teachers give homework because they believe their homework will help you apply your knowledge. That should be respectable enough.
Unless you're talking about pointless homework given for no other reason than to comply with the educational system's unquestioned mores and regulations, but then why hate only homework rather than the flawed educational system? It's either short-sighted, just seeing the immediate problem that affects you, or self-centered, just caring about the immediate problem that affects you.
