Alice in wonderland.... themed room, I need help desperatly!

Well when I was about five or so I really wanted an Alice in Wonderland themed boudoir, and recently my mother who hasn't kept up to speed with my ever changing wants has bought me three pictures of Alice in wonderland junk and a white rabbit clock. I love the pictures and the clock, but they are very little kiddish and I'm wondering how can i still have the Alice in wonderland bedroom to keep my mother happy, without making it seem like a purple alice in wonderland kindergarten center?

I think if it was made to kind of follow more the original illustrations of the book, it would seem more classic than childish. What are the pictures of? Are they the Disney version?

I would actually love a room like that if I was female. Alas, I am male, and my father a homophobe. He would kill me if he saw my room like that, xD

I say run with it!

Well, an elegant, simple Victorian feel would probably work. I'd ignore Disney's take on the story completely and focus on the setting of the book itself.
