Website and Demo track of our band

We've finally got a website and demo track up at http://www.reverbnation.com/hexotericka.
The official band page is still under construction, and the demo song itself didn't turn out quite the way we hoped, but it gives you a bit of an idea of what we sound like.

Sounds good. I look forward to hearing more of it, particularly once you get the sound down exactly as you wanted it.

What did you record on Darcnyss? I'm leaning to analog 4 track for money purposes.

Thanks, Delkaetre! Stormtrooper, we're basically using an 8 channel mixer board and routing it into a PC where we do the digital recording with Cool Edit Pro.

I like how you added the lil' bit of piano. I enjoyed it, though I would've liked the lead vocals to be a bit more... loud. Very good, though, and I mean it.

Thank you very much, Green.Lady. Yes, I agree that the vocals should have been louder. Sadly, currently we are not in control of the mixing ourselves, since that's done by a sound guy over at DarcTyde.
Hopefully we'll be able to get a better version out soon.

Just heard it - you've got some skill there! (although I also think the mixing needs a bit of work and maybe a stronger bass?)

So, uhm, when're you performing at Zeplins?

Thanks Nevan!

Well, we're currently only 2 guys in the band, and that doesn't make for a very exciting live performance.

We'll probably do the live thing as soon as we have more members.

Fancy. I like the lo-fi sound of 4 track analog alot, so we'll probably do that. I'm going to (hopefully) be getting some cool stuff for my guitar to add a bit more. A 1968 Fender Reverb pedal, Ibanez Tube Screamer and another distortion box for cheap from a kid I know at school. I just want the reverb pedal. It'll be an interesting combination, reverb on 1 minute long punk song.

I'm taking notes. Fruity Loops is okay. Damn though.

VERY good stuff. I really like the vocals, and like Green.Lady said, the piano is a lovely touch.
